Ice Boat Racing 1.8.0 Update Notes

Today marks the day that the Ice Boat Racing modpack updates to 1.20.4. If you're running a personalized or customized version of the modpack, it's recommended to back up your mods prior to updating, so you can make a list of what mods you want to re-import.

This pack version was heavily based on 1.21, but due to OpenBoatUtils as of the time of writing not being on 1.21, I've had to stick to 1.20.4. 1.21 isn't far away though!

1.8.0 Lite Version Delay

As the Lite version is also supposed to be released on CurseForge, there is a delay in making that release happen. Due to the large amount of changes present in 1.8, I require more time get certain mods CurseForge approved, and select mods need standalone version that aren't dependant on libraries.

Patch Notes:

• Updated the modpack to Minecraft version 1.20.4
• Updated default scaling of the scoreboard and the tablist to make the screen less cluttered
• Lowered the refresh rate of the minimap to lessen the impact on the framerate
• Applied a default HUD scale of 2 to the Multiplayer and Mod Menu screen to make it less chaotic
• Replaced Sboatcam due to issues on 1.21, in preparation to avoid alienating the higher competitive playerbase
• AutoHUD has been removed due to lack of usefulness and feedback from players (y'all really hated this one jeez)
• Added Modpack Default (standard), Minecraft Default, Renokas1 Settings and Sotumney's Settings to OptionsProfiles

Known Issues

• 3DSkinLayers: Rarely the player's hat layer doesn't render correctly
• Bobby: Fails to capture spawn chunks on first boot
• IBR Extras: The included UI config isn't scaling correctly with resolutions other than 1920 by 1080 pixels due to using coordinates instead of a percentile position from or grid position

Notes for Customized Pack users

• Avoid updating Options Profiles to version 1.2.1 due to a crash occurring when trying to load the JSON file for Sodium Extras
