The features aren't really centered around a single structure, so as long as you get to several different biomes, you should be good. Also, because some items are available through the new villager profession, you can use that instead of exploring for SOME items.

Items

Weapons

You can create a **Beetle Cleaver** by crafting a sword with Beetle Horn Fragments instead of a material and adding an extra Beetle Horn Fragment off to the side. It deals twenty-four damage (twelve hearts) on it's own, but can be enchanted with Sharpness (and other sword-applicable enchantments). If you have a Strength II potion and your Beetle Cleaver is enchanted with Sharpness V, you can deal THIRTY-FIVE damage in one hit (I think my math is right :P). If you have Bane of Arthropods or Smite, that number goes up even higher (when used on the correct mob). A **Scorpion Whip** is a new combat weapon crafted with a Stick, String, and a Scorpion Projectile Barb. It has the attack damage of a Diamond Sword and the attack speed of a Netherite Axe, but can reach entities from up to ten blocks away and pulls them towards you, great for preventing enemies from fleeing. **Slingshots** can be crafted using three sticks in a "Y" shape with a piece of string in the middle. You can use them to shoot Slingshot Balls, which come in four types: Heavy, Cold, Explosive, and Shrapnel-Shooting. **Heavy Balls** deal twenty-five damage (12.5 hearts) when they hit an entity. **Cold Balls** deal ten damage (5 hearts) but make the target Freeze for two minutes. **Explosive Balls** deal no extra damage, but explode with the force of two end crystals. The explosions do not destroy blocks, but do damage entities. **Shrapnel Balls** launch many small projectiles in all directions, great for area damage. You can also shoot **Egg Sacs** out of a Slingshot. These can be found occaisonally in Minecart Chests in Mineshafts. When they hit a block or entity, they will spawn three to five Cave Spiders. If the Egg Sac hit an entity, the Cave Spiders will immediately be hostile toward that entity until they die, or it does. **Buzzblade Arrows** can be shot from a Bow or Crossbow, and they locate nearby hostile entities and players (not including the shooter) and steer themselves towards them. You can craft them like an arrow but with a Buzzblade Stinger Barb instead of Flint and a Buzzblade Wing instead of a Feather. Using 2 Snow Spider Fangs, 2 Blue Ice, and a Stick, you can craft a **Frosty Saber**, which has the attack damage and speed of a Netherite Sword, but applies the "Freezing" effect on hit for 1 minute.

Foods

**Juicy Bug Meat** is a new food item. It is dropped by the mojority of the new mobs, and restores a single hunger point (half a drumstick icon) and practically no saturation. It also gives you nausea. You can cook Juicy Bug Meat on a Campfire to obtain **Crispy Bug Meat**. It takes very little time to consume and restores four hunger points (two drumstick icons). If you cook Juicy Bug Meat traditionally, like in a furnace or smoker, you will instead get **Charred Bug Meat**. It takes five seconds to consume (because it is so overcooked and tough and nasty) and gives you Hunger I for thirty seconds. Four **Chocolate Spiders** can be crafted from an Egg Sac, four Sugar, and four Cocoa Pods. When consumed, it removes Poison, Wither, Slowness, Weakness, and Hunger. **Bug Slime Stew** can be crafted from a Slimeball, a Spider Eye, Juicy Bug Meat, and a Bowl. When consumed, it applies Night Vision for five minutes and Nausea for a minute and fifteen seconds. Egg Sacs crafted between two Bread vertically in the crafting table create **Egg-Sac-Sandwiches**, which apply the Saturation effect for two-and-a-half minutes.

Ingredients

**Burdenbeetle Horn Fragments** and **Burdenbeetle Carapace Segments** are dropped by Burdenbeetles. **End Scorpion Projectile Barbs** and **End Scorpion Carapace Segments** are dropped by End Scorpions. **Buzzblade Stinger Barbs** and **Buzzblade Wings** are dropped by Buzzblades. **Snow Spider Fangs** are dropped by Snow Spiders. **Savannah Scuttler Fangs** are dropped by Savannah Scuttlers.

Miscellaneous

The **Web Separator** is an item that can be crafted with a Fermented Spider Eye, a Stick, and a Savannah Scuttler Fang. It insta-mines Cobwebs and is required to open a Webbed Chest. **Exoskeleton Armor** is a new armor set that is between Diamond and Netherite armor in terms of it's defense. However, each piece of armor you put on decreases the chance that you get hit with a projectile. Instead, the projectile gets deflected and flung back where it came from. It is crafted using Burdenbeetle Carapace Segements in the traditional crafting shapes. Yes, you can use trims on it. Using End Stone to replace Wood Planks and a Scorpion Carapace to replace an Iron Ingot in the recipe for a shield creates a **Scorpion Shield**. This item has more durability than a shield and takes less time to activate (on normal shields, after you start using them there is a delay before they are actually functional, which is how you can sometimes get hit through your shield). A new **Music Disc** has a small chance be found in Minecart Chests in Mineshafts. Thanks to **[@T_en_M](https://www.youtube.com/@TenM)** for the EPIC music.

Blocks

**Blocks of Juicy Bug Meat** are crafted by nine pieces of Juicy Bug Meat. They negate all fall damage when you land on them, but give you Nausea and Poison for ten seconds when stood upon. **Reinforced End Stone** has the properties of Reinforced Deepslate (harder than obsidian) except that it will drop the ingredients used to craft it when mined. You can create three by putting three End Stone in a line across the middle of a crafting table and a line of Scorpion Carapace Segments above and below. You can make **Scorpion Lanterns** by putting an End Rod in the center of a 3x3 crafting grid, putting two Popped Chorus Fruit on the left and right, and filling the remaining empty slots with Scorpion Carapace Segments. It emits a light level of fifteen and has the toughness of deepslate. Also, it's purple, and no mod is complete with out a reskinned purple block/item. **Webbed Chests** can be created by surrounding a chest with Cobwebs in a 3x3 Crafting Grid. They behave like normal chests but require a Web Separator to open. They are also a new villager workstation (see: features - miscellaneous). **Butterfly Bushes** and **Butterfly Flowers** are new vegetation blocks that can generate in Flower Forests and Flower Fields. They are 1-block-tall flowers, but when placed, they spawn butterfly particles around them, similar to Firefly Bushes.

Mobs

Spiders

In the desert, **Dunedashers** can spawn. They are hostile versions of the Spider, and inflict you with Hunger IV for twenty seconds. **Savannah Scuttlers** are another type of spider. They are found in large groups in Savannah biomes. They are verym irritating because they can give you Poison II and Nausea II for twenty seconds. When slain, they can drop Savannah Scuttler Fangs. In most cold biomes, **Snow Spiders** can spawn. They inflict you with Weakness I for fifteen seconds and make you "freeze". They drop Snowballs, String, Spider Eyes, and Snow Spider Fangs.

Beetles

The **Burdenbeetle** is a mob that you can find in the badlands. Thanks to their tough shell, burdenbeetles deflect arrows and other projectiles. Be careful when fighting them - They are extremly strong and tough. When killed, they drop Beetle Horn Fragments and Carapace Segments. When exploring Warped Forests, you have a chance to find **Nether Scarabs**. Small and fast, they are difficult to catch, but once you manage to hit it, it will probably die due to it's low health.

Miscellaneous

**End Scorpions** can be found patrolling the outer End islands. They rapidly fire several Scorpion Projectile Barbs out of their massive stingers when they locate a player. This makes it difficult to engage them in melee combat, but if you do, they also have a close-quaters attack in which they snap their stingers. **Buzzblades** are dragonfly-like creatures that are found in jungles. Their spasmodic movement makes them tricky to kill, especially since they dart towards you and damage you before you can react. Not only that, but they spawn in large groups, making them truly formidable foes. They drop Juicy Bug Meat, Buzzblade Wings, and Buzzblade Stinger Barbs.

Miscellaneous

**Minecart Chests in Mineshafts** have had their loot table modified, so they may now generate Cobwebs, Egg Sacs, Chocolate Spiders, and the new Music Disc (Mineshaft by [@T_en_M](youtube.com/@tenm)) When Spiders spawn in certain biomes, there is a 25% chance that **an extra spider will spawn** along side it (the original spider stays alive). The map of extra spiders to their biomes is: - **Dunedasher** - Desert - **Savanna Scuttler** - Savanna - Savanna Plateau - Windswept Savanna - Wooded Badlands - **Snow Spider** - Taiga - Snowy Taiga - Old-Growth Taiga - Jagged Peaks - Snowy Peaks Using a Webbed Chest, you can obtain the villager profession **Exterminator**. It has the following trades:

No, you **MAY NOT** port this mod to a different modloader, a different Minecraft version, or a different platform. I worked very hard to concept, program, and publish this mod, and while I understand that the loader/version/platform of this mod might not suit everybody's wishes, I do not want anyone to make a port of this mod. Currently, I try to keep all of my (unarchived) mods up-to-date with the latest version of Minecraft. Please be patient if the mod is not updated as soon as you like. I am probably working on it when I have time.

What Minecraft versions do you plan on updating/backporting this mod to?

I try to update the mod to the latest Minecraft version as soon as possible. When the mod itself gets updates like new features or content, only the latest version of Minecraft will receive that content. I do not plan on backporting this mod.

Where do you recommend I start learning how to mod?

I mostly taught myself, but I definitely used resources like [**Datapack Generators**](https://misode.github.io) which is a useful tool for legibly creating .json files. How do I install this mod?

First, download the [**Fabric Installer**](https://fabricmc.net/use/installer/) and the [**Fabric API**](https://modrinth.com/mod/fabric-api). Put the Fabric API into your “mods” folder along with this one. Then, open the Minecraft Launcher and launch the game. (MAKE SURE that the Fabric Loader, Fabric API, and this mod are all the same version!)
