Changelog
This version updates the pack to the Mounts of Mayhem drop, adds many more small changes to recipes and colorful crafting, and functionality of things that may not have a lot, but also removes many features previously in the pack, to set it more in line with what I'm aiming for it to be, in addition to now being completely translation friendly.
Removed/Altered features
- Most enchantment changes have been reverted
- Consolidations, such as Punch/Knockback and Flame/Fire Aspect have been undone
- Impact Protection has been separated back into Projectile and Blast Protections
- Illager's Bane has been removed, BoA added back
- Zombie horse spawning, ridable mobs able to swim, and speed based damage for the Mace have all been removed, as there are proper game implementations for them now
- Mace nerfs have been completely reverted. It now functions as it does normally in vanilla
- Baby Creepers have been removed as explosion radius no longer causes any kind of knockback when set to not do terrain damage
- Milk Bottle removed to keep entire pack translation friendly
Enchantments and Combat
- Basic armor enchantments (protections and thorns) can be applied to wolf, horse, and nautilus armor
- Projectile Protection now adds +15% knockback resistance per level
- Doubled Protection, Sharpness, and Power anvil cost
- BoA slowness is a fixed duration that is 1 second per level
- Impaling, Smite, and BoA all have 4 levels, each adding 3 damage, and are half their usual anvil cost.
- Smite no longer inflicts weakness
- Channeling works in rain
- Hoes no longer have extended reach, but Tridents have +1 block of attack range
- Mace now disables shields for 5 seconds like axes
- Weapons can be dipped with potions by using a potion in the mainhand with the weapon in the offhand. This will inflict the effect on the next attack by the weapon, including thrown tridents. It only works once and requires regular potions. Potion will still be consumed even if the mob dies. Swords, Spears, Tridents, Axes, and Maces can be dipped
- If the player plays a goat horn while facing a hostile mob within 16 blocks, wolves owned by that player will growl and attack that mob. It will also provide speed & strength effects for that player’s wolves for 10 seconds. It forces them to aggro on that mob, versus attacking a mob, which will only aggro after the previous mob is defeated. Exceptions are creepers, flying mobs, and underwater mobs
- Golden Spears deal Iron Spear damage
Brewing/Effects & Food
- Dragon Breath can now be used as a brewing fuel source, which will double brewing speed when used. Dragon breath particles display when brewing using it as fuel. Will drop a bottle when used.
- Thick Potions now inflict blindness and Mundane potions nausea for 45 seconds. These can be turned into all potion types and tipped arrows, as like any other brewable potion in the game
- Nausea can affect mobs by sometimes making them lose lock of their target
- Stews and soup can stack up to 4 and do not have eating particles
- Regular Golden Apple Absorption hearts can stack if eaten consecutively, for parity with Bedrock Edition
Mobs/Entities
- Arthropods no longer take fall damage, Silverfish/Endermites move faster
- Happy Ghast top speed reduced, but are affected by the Speed Effect
- All saddleable mobs can be ridden through leaves if the player is holding the forward button
- Level 5 villagers will be willing to ride on a camel with the player, and can be dismounted by leashing the camel
- Firework rocket duration now scales evenly at 1 second of flight per duration. This makes duration 1 less efficient but duration 3 more efficient
Crafting and Other
- Crafting stairs now produces 6 instead of 4
- Crafting buttons now produces 4 instead of 1
- Crafting wooden trapdoors now produces 6
- Green dye can be crafted with yellow and blue dye
- Brown dye can be crafted with 3 primary dye colors or 2 complementary colors
- Flint can be used to make black dye
- In addition to terracotta, concrete, concrete powder, glass, and glass panes can all be universally dyed with 1 dye and 1 block
- Concrete powder can be smelted into its respective stained glass
- Cookies, paper, and bread can be crafted in 2x2 grid (shapeless)
- All templates require only 6 diamonds and 2 blocks/resources
- Invisible Glow/Item frames can be crafted with phantom membranes. They will occasionally emit a small particle when they have no item in them
- Banners can be placed on the lower half of a bed to add them as a blanket, which will drop as an item when the bed is broken
- The unused element paintings can now only be found in archeology, and only swap to each other with the brush. Skeleton skulls can also be found in archeology
- Mineshaft chests can contain uncraftable potions that grant haste
- A Mobs & Entities category has been added for dialog options
- Anvil repair cost resetting can now be toggled
