Changes
This release candidate adds new features to balance the Wither fight. As enchantments have been removed, potions have been buffed in a vanilla-friendly way.
Features
- Nether Portals can now be made in sizes as small as 1x1.
- Potion effects now stack when drank (not splashed). Chain drink potions to stack up their durations.
- Added 4 minute variants of the Level II Strength, Swiftness and Leaping as well as a 45 second variant of the Regeneration II potion. Add a Redstone Dust to the Level II potion, or add a Glowstone Dust to the extended variant.
- Haste potions can no longer be strengthened or extended, but by adding Blaze Powder to any of the four strength/duration Swiftness potions, the corresponding Haste potion is created.
- Added Potion of Feather Falling (using a Feather) that negates all fall damage. It can be lengthened with Redstone Dust.
- Dragon's Breath can be brewed from Water Bottles + Chorus Fruit.
- Piglin bartering has been reenabled with the Soul Speed items replaced by Wither Bones, Nether Wart, Gilded Blackstone, and Snout Banner Pattern.
- Hoglins no longer attack you whilst wearing Gold or Rose Gold armour.
- Wither Skeletons and the Wither Boss now drop Wither Bones that are required for crafting Netherite tools and weapons (or can be converted into Bone Meal).
- Junk has been reintroduced to fishing with a 1 in 64 chance of receiving either a pair of Leather Boots or a Tin Can which can be smelted into a Tin Ingot.
- The Mud Kiln now shows puffs of smoke coming out of it's chimney.
- Glow Ink Sacks have been removed. All their functionality transfers to Glowstone Dust.
- Dropping Amethyst Shards on Sculk now creates Echo Shards.
- All Chickens lay regular eggs. The type of Chicken spawned from a thrown Egg depends on the biome it spawns in.
- Many new advancements have been added to help the player with new mechanics.
- Bells can be crafted with a Stick and Gold Ingot.
- Gilded Blackstone is craftable with 1 Blackstone and 1 Gold Nugget.
Balance
- Mob gear drop rate lowered to 17% to avoid inventory clutter.
- Redstone ores now drop 2-3 redstone dust (reduced from 4-5).
- All Bows and Crossbows held by the player now get a hidden Power II enchantment as without enchanting they were underpowered late game. This is balanced by the difficulty of obtaining arrows. This change does not apply to Bows and Crossbows held by mobs.
- Gold tools, weapons, and armour no longer spawn on Overworld mobs so that the Nether keeps its identity. They have been replaced with Bronze.
- Vanilla Hoglin drops have been reenabled.
- Cartographers now buy 15 Redstone Dust for 1 Emerald.
- Clerics no longer sell Breeze Rods for 1 Emerald. Instead they sell 2 Wind Charges for the same price.
- Masons no longer sell Nether Quartz.
- Masons now sell 16 End Stone per Emerald.
- Pottery Sherds sold by Masons have new prices to reflect their vanilla rarity.
- Cartographers now sell the Globe, Flow, and Guster Banner Patterns.
- Fletchers now require 16 flint per emerald, and the trade limit has been reduced to 3 before restocking to prevent exploitation.
- Fishermen sell Sponge as their master trade.
- Swift Sneak removed as an intrinsic enchantment from Gold and Rose Gold leggings.
- Killing the Warden no longer prevents surface spawns, instead it adds Swift Sneak II to any leggings held by the player.
- Campfires take twice as long to burn out.
- Haybales within 10 blocks vertically below a Campfire no longer prevent it from burning out. Instead a Netherack is required.
- Golden Apples and Enchanted Golden Apples now have their healing-from-food effect moved to Regeneration II so that it stacks with the Regeneration II provided by the apples.
- Golden Apples, Enchanted Golden Apples, and Golden Carrots no longer slow the player (like other foods do).
- The minimum-maximum health criteria have been revisited. The player still starts with a minimum-maximum health of 8 hearts, now reducing by 1 heart when you obtain Steel, a Ghast Tear, a Level II potion, 3 Wither Skeleton Skulls, Netherite or killing the Wither or Warden.
- Endermen have a 1 in 64 chance to drop Chorus Fruit.
- Copper, Iron, and Gold Nuggets now convert with Ingots at an 8:1 ratio.
- Azalea, Flowering Azalea, Big Dripleaf, Moss Carpet, Pale Moss Carpet, Crimson Roots, Warped Roots, Nether Wart Block, Warped Wart Block, and Leaf Litter now only drop when mined with a hoe, shears, axe, or Silk Touch to prevent inventory clutter.
- Ender Chests now drop themselves when broken with a Gold, Rose Gold, Steel, or Netherite pickaxe, and drop nothing when broken in any other way. Silk Touch is no longer required.
- Brown, Red, and Shelf Mushrooms are now edible, healing one heart.
- Block of Amethyst now crafts back into 4 Amethyst Shards.
- Block of Quartz now crafts back into 4 Nether Quartz.
- Flint can now be reclaimed from Arrows so that players who can't find flint deposits can still light fires early game.
- Campfires can be crafted with two logs and two sticks so that it is accessible before the crafting table.
- Bloomeries now drop 1 charcoal in addition to their bricks.
- Campfires now drop 1 charcoal when broken to prevent exploting the new crafting recipe.
Fixes
- Autoreplanting netherwart was destroying the harvest. Netherwart can no longer be autoreplanted.
- Various enchantment issues related to Rose Gold tools/armour having their enchantments stacked with Gold armour have been fixed.
- Invalid potion recipes no longer create Haste potions.
- Endermen no longer spawn in the Deep Dark (this was an oversight).
- Lava Chicken music disc now drops as in vanilla (this was an oversight).
- Food tooltips now accurately indicate how much health each item heals.
- Villagers no longer excessively revisit their job blocks (another oversight by me).
- A few empty functions from previous versions have been removed in preparation for the 1.0 release.

Known issues
- Autoreplanting wheat, carrots, and potatoes may be destroying all seeds dropped by the plant. This is a minor issue and needs more testing.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
