1.2+mod
Compatibility
Changes
Ardwick 1.2 brings the armour system inline with the horizontal progression philosophy. Existing armour is converted on first load so this is safe to drop into an existing world. The armour needs to hit your inventory, so armour stored in chests won't convert until you take it out.
Features
- Each armour tier now has its own niche that exceeds the protection provided by Netherite, so that all tiers remain relevant late game and mixing armour sets becomes a valuable strategy. Don't overlook Leather!
- Loosely these are Leather (Cold Resistance), Copper (Poison Resistance), Chain (Arrow Resistance), Iron (Blast Resistance), Bronze (Melee Resistance), Steel (Generalist, No Specific Resistance), Gold/Rose Gold (Heat Resistance), Netherite (Wither Resistance), however some of these stats vary. Check them out in game!
- Armour now communicates its niche in the crafting table/recipe book so that you can preview its value before committing to crafting.
- Proper English language support. No longer a mix of US/British English, set your dialect in the settings menu and advancements/item names will update appropriately.
- Lava can no longer be picked up by buckets in Survival.
- Armour stats are communicated as stats rather than enchantments. It reads more like an RPG and less like an NBT tag system.
- Renamed 'Granite' 'Porphyry' since every Cornishman knows that Pink Granite isn't real Granite.
Balance
- Reworked armour speed penalties inline with the new tier niches to keep all armour relevant. Gold and Netherite are very heavy, use them wisely.
Fixes
- Sleeping in beds no longer sets your spawn point. Campfires now exclusively set your spawn.
- Firework and Firework Star recipes appear again.
- Recipes for the Tin Ingot and Pearl of Returning added (these were an oversight).
- Cleaned up some recipes that were identical to Vanilla that the pack redefined.

Known Issues
- I'm actively investigating an issue related to Happy Ghasts disappearing as they grow up. It's unclear whether this is a data pack issue or a Vanilla issue currently.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
