Changes

  • Moon phase textures now face the Sun (new companion resource pack).
  • Moonless nights are darker and starrier: night brightness follows both the phase and the Moon's altitude, so a first-quarter night goes dark when the Moon sets.
  • Cycle period is now 1,416,000 ticks (two 29.5-day cycles, 59 in-game days) so the night-only lighting tracks stay aligned with the day/night cycle forever.
  • Commands and namespace are now in English: use realistic_moon
