β¨ New
- πͺ¦ 3D tombstone graves β instead of a mannequin and one or two chest minecarts, dying now leaves one tombstone holding everything you had, armor and offhand included, with a floating sign (your name, the day, the grave number and how many stacks it still holds) and a thread of souls drifting up from it. One right-click gives every item back to its slot, plus your experience; whatever doesn't fit stays in the grave and the compass comes back, so nothing is ever dropped.
- π¨ 27 tombstone styles β the tombstone follows where you died: Overworld biomes (taiga and snowy taiga differ, beaches, rivers, oceans, badlands, jungle, savanna...), caves, underwater graves (sea pickles instead of candles, since there's no fire underwater), every Nether biome and the End.
π§ Improved
- Glowing sign β the floating text used to take the light of the spot where the grave stands, so in a dark cave it was almost impossible to read. It now shines at full brightness, and graves made by earlier versions get it too the first second they load.
π Fixed
- Worlds on 26.3 load again β on 26.3 the datapack put the world in Safe Mode, because the item that names waypoint compasses was still written in the pre-26.3 format. It now has its own 26.3 copy, so the world opens normally and the compasses keep their names.
- Tombstone shading on 26.3 β 26.3 removed the setting that kept the small details of the tombstone (flowers, flames, moss) evenly lit, so there they would show darker on some sides. The models now carry the 26.3 equivalent next to the old one.
- Radar on older versions β the copper golem and the camel husk never showed on the radar on 1.21.9 β 26.1, and the hostile radar did nothing at all on 1.21.6 β 1.21.10. Both work now.
- Tombstone facing β it now looks the way you were facing, rounded to the nearest quarter turn. It used to always round down, leaving it up to 90Β° off.
- Empty graves β dying with nothing to store (empty inventory and no experience) no longer leaves an empty tombstone and a compass. You get one line in chat instead, and the grave numbering doesn't skip.
β οΈ Notes
- Graves left by older versions keep working and clean themselves up.
- The tombstone model comes from Capupack 1.2; without it graves work the same but show a plain wall block.
- Waypoints, settings and everything saved with earlier versions keep working.
- Supports Minecraft 1.21 β 26.3. The Mob radar requires 1.21.6+.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
