Script's Chunk Loaders

Turn any vanilla minecart into a chunk loader that can travel beyond the spawn chunks and player render distance.

What is this?

Ever tried sending items between you and your friends base and noticed the minecart never arrives? Well, then you've experienced how Minecraft chunks loading works. But don't worry! Script's Chunk Loaders is here to the rescue.

Script's Chunk Loaders adds an additional feature to dispensers that allows them to turn any minecart into a chunk loader. A chunk loader minecart can go anywhere in the world without having a player nearby. When approaching unloaded chunks it temporarily force loads them and when leaving them unloads them again. An area of 3x3 chunks around the chunk loader minecart will always be loaded.

Script's Chunk Loaders is what I call a "vanilla mod". This means that it can be installed on a Minecraft server without requiring the clients to install it as well. This makes it very easy to use even on servers where you want that vanilla experience and don't want to force your players to install additional mods. But of course the mod still works just fine in singleplayer as well.

How do I use it?

First create a "chunk loader creator" by putting the following pattern in a dispenser. When powered, any minecart in front of it will become a chunk loader. Power it again to disable the chunk loader.

If the minecart has an inventory (like the Minecart with Chest does) and the first item has been renamed the chunk loader will take the name of that item.
