Changes
new states for nur
- STALKING: slowly creeps toward you at 0.06 speed, places cobble on liquids
- DUMMY: stands still, look at it → k3whud001 overlay + whisper → vanishes
- STALKING_DUMMY: slowly creeps + overlay + whisper on look → vanishes
- CHASING: full speed murder, block breaking, towering, bridging (existing)
nur changes
- 5-block proximity auto-triggers chase (checked every 10 ticks)
- daytime despawn for STALKING and STALKING_DUMMY (2000-13000 time)
- random state on spawn (equal chance, excluding CHASING)
- anyone can trigger a fresh nur by looking (not just the spawning player)
- texts (PRAY/HOPE/LIFE/SOUL) broadcast to all players again
k3w changes
- now uses setPos + noPhysics + noGravity. phases through blocks
- replays exact player path point by point, 1 per tick
- rotation matched per path node (faces same direction as player did)
- skin cache persists across player disconnects (no more steve)
- actions now record while clones are active too, not just during spawn sequence
- proximity check uses entity position with 6-block radius
new entity: vr9p "Jimmy"
- overlay STOP/CONTINUE game with random state order (not alternating)
- random lengths between switches (20-80 ticks configurable)
- startup: 3 ticks vr9phit face, then random STOP/CONTINUE
- grace period between switches (configurable, default 30 ticks)
- wrong threshold (configurable, default 20 ticks) before punishment
- ambience loops every 100 ticks, stops on event end
- 5-tick end phase showing vr9phit face before overlay clears
- grace period gated (won't spawn before GRACE_PERIOD_DAYS)
- VIGNETTE overlay layer (no more item-tooltip interference)
crash/kick system (set it in config)
- PunishMode enum: KICK (default), CRASH, or NONE
- CRASH uses
mc.stop(). safe shutdown with world save - configurable per entity:
nur.onDeath,k3w.onCatch,vr9p.onPunish - old boolean pairs (
kickOnDeath+crashOnDeath) replaced with single dropdown
bug fixes
- vr9p now respects GRACE_PERIOD_DAYS (was spawning day 1)
- PENDING_SPAWNS wrapped in grace check (no nurs during grace from queued tasks)
- k3w skin cache survives player disconnect
- k3w block rotation preserved (Block -> BlockState, uses Block.getId/stateById)
- k3w crash no longer crashes server (player.connection null check)
- k3w null guard before distanceTo call
- k3w cooldown uses server tick count (not player.tickCount)
- vr9p ambience stops on event end (ClientboundStopSoundPacket)
- vr9p disconnect cleanup (PlayerLoggedOutEvent)
- connection null checks in all deferred tasks
- rep saves throttled to once per 5 seconds
- config section
[xyz]renamed to[xYz] - lang file display names all lowercase matching entity names
- icon linked in mods.toml
config changes
- all names match entity names exactly:
[nur],[k3w],[xYz],[skinwalker],[horror],[vr9p] - punish modes: enum per entity
- vr9p: all timings configurable
known caveats
- CRASH mode uses
mc.stop(). game closes after saving. keep at KICK unless you want hardcore. - singeplayer/LAN/e4mc/essential and 2-4 player focus, didnt test for 20+ players
- grace period gates natural spawns only (admin commands bypass it).
- horror events also gated by grace period.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
