Against the Wild: Realistic Survival
Against the Wild is an immersive realism mod that transforms Minecraft survival into something that actually feels like fighting to stay alive. No magic shortcuts, no easy starts. The world is harsh, unforgiving, and beautiful just like the real wilderness

Changes
- Ground clutter system — sticks, small rocks and rocks now spawn naturally on freshly generated chunks
- Biome-aware spawning — rocks and pebbles spawn more frequently near water sources and on underwater floors (riverbeds, lakebeds)
- Chunk-based generation — items spawn only once per chunk, on first exploration. No repeated spawning
- Persistent ground entities — ground items save and load with the world. They don't disappear on relog
- Block support logic — ground items drop as pickable items when the block beneath them is broken
- Right-click pickup — pick up any ground item by simply right-clicking it
- Bare hands wood protection — breaking any wooden block without a tool is now blocked entirely. No drops, no progress
- All wood types covered — protection applies to Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia, Dark Oak, Mangrove, Cherry, Bamboo, Crimson and Warped wood and all their variants (planks, slabs, fences, doors, signs, etc.)
- Rock and Small Rock items — two new custom items added to the game, available in the Against the Wild creative tab
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
