AMBUSH 1.1.7
New content
- More Bundled encounters! removed some old annoying ones!
- Added vehicle and emplacement templates, including the Villager Anti-Air Car, Cast Iron Anti-Air Car, twin artillery car, Cast Iron Alloy Works, Dreadzeppelin, End patrol ships, Ender Hover Platform, and additional illager artillery installations.
- Added traveling merchant and escort templates, villager gift balloons, and a villager potato airship.
- Added Coastal Fleet Siege, a naval invasion with 15 waves and a boss wave every third wave (WAVE ASSAULT MODE "INVASION" IS VERY MUCH UNFINISHED)
- Added five armor sets: Artillery Crew, Iron Boarder, Iron Raider, Ribbed Archer, and Ribbed Guard. (datapacks may now have armorsets! these apply to mobs on ambushes, which alter their armor and held items, giving them names and drop chances)
Factions and progression
- Added a dedicated hostile End faction.
- Expanded reputation bounds from ±2,000 to ±10,000 and moved the alliance threshold to 5,000.
- Added reputation decay toward neutral standing.
- Added periodic villager supply gifts, with gift quality determined by reputation and bonuses from defeating enemy vessels.
- Added End progression and a fun suprise when you first enter the end
- Extended the normal natural-encounter window from 40–100 minutes to 40–140 minutes. (or 2 - 7 in game days, with 4 being the most spawned day)
Weapons and combat
- Added persistent cannon safe mode for protecting terrain from AMBUSH-owned cannon fire. Use the command to stop all ambushes from griefing terrain with cannons.
- Expanded support for additional CBC ammunition and ballistic types.
- Added automatic ammunition-box refilling.
- Reworked mechanical and swivel turret aiming, calibration, angle limits, and physical barrel alignment checks.
- Expanded configurable firing intervals, reload timing, and aiming tolerances (for datapacks)
Vehicles and navigation
- Added more advanced terrain-aware route probing, obstacle detours, and fleet navigation controls.
- Improved ground-vehicle footprint, wheel-contact, slope, step, and hazard checks.
- Added speed-dependent terrain lookahead and checked reverse recovery for stalled cars.
- Expanded vehicle recovery, landing, wreck, and despawn handling.
- Added Merchant approach and landing behavior.
Crew, rendering, and performance
- Expanded crew combat, equipment, seating, retention, and navigation aboard moving vessels.
- Added configurable long-distance vessel tracking and rendering.
- Improved moving-vessel projectile coordinates and explosion handling, you may now blow up ambush ships without causing server lag.
- Improved kinetic-network transfer and restoration during assembly.
- Added incremental patrol landmark searches and unloaded-chunk checks for crew sightlines.
- Reduced repeated terrain-scan work and expanded control, aiming, and performance diagnostics.
Datapack support
- Added faction-gift, faction-alias, loot-alias, and vessel-render resources.
- Expanded ship profiles, conditional controls, tactical settings, and authoring validation.
- Added native
.excraftschematic placement support and additional optional integrations (Currently Toolgun schematic '.excraft' can spawn crew but has no ship AI)
And more
- I got carried away, theres alot of minor bug fixes and improvements, two new bosses, etc. Go have fun! report bugs in the discord please!
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
