- Added major Apoli server-performance optimizations while remaining pinned to the stable Origins/Apoli pre.2 versions.
- Added migration support so older players can automatically receive newly-added iron weakness subpowers without reselecting their Origin.
Origin Fixes & Balance
-
Arachne
- Fixed Webspinner progress resetting.
- Restored Cobweb Fatigue values.
- Reduced Eightfold Swiftness grapple range and excessive pull.
- Removed forced downward ground-dash velocity.
- Fixed climbing being able to interact with phasing. Arachne still ignores cobweb slowdown without receiving a phasing power.
-
Faerie
- Improved Trickster descriptions and FX.
- Fixed Champion/standard visibility interactions.
- Corrected illusion cleanup behavior.
-
Fenrkin
- Adrenaline cooldown increased to 6 minutes base.
- Adrenaline now reliably restores exactly 8 health.
- Fixed Mark of Fenrir and Champion parity.
- Step Assist / Darkvision now use a dedicated Origin Toggle state, preventing Primary from turning Step Assist back on when disabled.
-
Gorgon
- Restored Ophidian Gaze and Transference to their intended 32-block range.
- Expanded Gaze/Transference FX.
-
Human
- Improved Mortal Resolve and Indomitable reliability.
- Fixed Incapacitated state cleanup after Mortal Resolve.
- Indomitable can no longer bypass Mortal Resolve's final death.
-
Lichling
- Chimes of Necros range increased to 15 blocks.
- Chimes now builds increasing Wither duration while channeling.
- Added Lichling screech audio and expanded Doom/Chimes FX.
-
Manticore
- Beast of Blood now removes only harmful status effects instead of wiping beneficial/neutral effects.
- Champion Manticore gained Bloodrift, a short Undetectable rupture ability with a fixed 10-second cooldown.
-
Nereid / Selkie
- Convalescing Aura now properly interacts with Selkie's native hydration system instead of creating duplicate Wet timers.
- Improved Aura, Submersion, Surging Tides, Coastal Phalanx, and Sealskin Bastion FX.
-
Siren
- Infatuation duration reduced to 10 seconds.
- Standard Siren is now properly carnivorous; non-meat foods such as golden apples/carrots are blocked while drinks remain usable.
- Iron weapon hits now correctly apply Siren's intended Wither weakness.
-
Veilborn
- Fixed Wet/Unstable duration accumulation and duplicate HUD bars.
- Wet duration now caps at 90 seconds.
- Corrected Enhanced FX colors.
- Auroral Mirage no longer leaves tracking particles while invisible.
- Champion Mirage retains its special Darkness burst and 5-second cooldown.
-
Wyverian
- Champion Wyverian gained Dragon's Breath and Dragon Charge.
- Cleaned up first-person Ember/Dragon VFX so particles no longer obstruct the crosshair.
- Replaced long-lasting campfire smoke with much shorter smoke effects.
- Moved charge-up effects away from eye level for better visibility.
Iron Weakness
Standard Faerie, Gorgon, and Lichling iron weakness received a major reliability/performance rewrite.
- Carrying iron deals ½ heart of Wither damage every second.
- Inventory checks run every 5 ticks instead of every tick.
- Dropping the final iron item removes the iron-caused Wither almost immediately.
- Existing players are automatically migrated when joining if they are missing newer iron-weakness subpowers.
/andromedaorigins repair <player>can also repair the missing powers without requiring an Origin reselect.- Champion variants remain exempt from racial iron weakness.
Champion Updates
- Champions now recover normal player-facing cooldowns at 2× speed.
- Completed a full Champion parity audit and corrected several missing/shared interactions.
- Fixed Champion projectile protection during movement abilities.
- Added missing Champion Enhanced FX.
- Champion-specific exceptions remain intact, including Humanity, Veilborn, Manticore, and Wyverian abilities.
Performance & Compatibility
-
Added caching for expensive Apoli power-type lookups while still evaluating dynamic power conditions normally.
-
Replaced Apoli's expensive world-wide EntitySet unload scan with an indexed holder system.
-
No constant world/entity scan is added by the new migration or repair systems.
-
Origins and Apoli remain pinned to:
- Origins 1.13.0-pre.2+mc.1.21.1
- Apoli 2.12.0-pre.2+mc.1.21.1
-
Added exact Andromeda Origins client/server version synchronization.
Enhanced FX
Optional support for Spell Engine and More RPG Library now provides expanded audiovisual effects across the entire Origin roster.
This includes:
- ability charge stages
- cast and impact bursts
- movement trails
- target-side effects
- channel pulses
- healing/shield visuals
- Doom and Wither effects
- Champion-specific effects
- improved fire, water, veil, holy, blood, web, wind, stone, and arcane themes
These remain optional cosmetic enhancements and do not change gameplay when the libraries are absent.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
