Changes
- Appleskin compatibility
- Enchantments in the Enchanting Table are now sorted by rarity -> treasure status -> alphabetically.
- Grindstone now converts some low level enchantments into Lapis Lazuli instead of Enchanted Scrap.
- Anvil GUI now prevents you from removing enchantments by reaching max capacity on the item.
- Anvil GUI now displays when it cannot create an item due to enchantment capacity.
- New Excavating enchantment for mining tools:
- Excavating: Mine multiple blocks in an area at once.
- New Surrounded, Glacioclasm enchantments for chestpieces:
- Surrounded: Grants damage resistance while surrounded by multiple enemies.
- Glacioclasm: Release a freezing burst at low health.
- New Slaying Tempo, Stopping Power, Allegro, Jolting, Snowball enchantments for swords.
- Slaying Tempo: Repeated perfect melee hits makes the next slain enemy explode.
- Stopping Power: Increased damage to low health enemies.
- Allegro: Repeated perfected melee hits grants increased attack speed.
- Jolting: Attacking an enemy Jolts them. Critically striking a Jolted enemy chains lightning to nearby enemies.
- Snowball: Perfectly striking an enemy creates a delayed freezing burst.
- New Guiding, Prepared Shot enchantments for bows
- Guiding: While holding this bow, fired arrows follow the direction you’re looking.
- Prepared Shot: Holding your bow at full draw for a full second grants increased damage and an explosion on kill.
- New Rocket Riding, Whirlwind enchantments for elytra.
- Rocket Riding: Firework Rockets can be used while flying for a boost.
- Whirlwind: While flying, crouch to stall in the air and charge up a burst of speed.
- New Charging enchantment for horse armor.
- Charging: While being ridden the horse gets progressively faster. At max speed, damage and knockback enemies you impact.
- New Launching enchantment for boots
- Launching: Crouch to charge up a massive jump boost!
- New Storm Anchor enchantment for tridents
- Storm Anchor: When this hits a wall, spawn a lightning rod that shocks nearby entities.
- Removed the 5 tick blocking delay for Shields.
- Elytra can no longer use Firework Rockets by default.
- Changed Evoker’s Wrath enchantment max level from 1 to 3, creating more teeth in a wider range with each level.
- Tridents that stick into entities no longer jitter, flicker, or rubber band rapidly.
- Tridents that stick into entities now properly follow the entity that they are stuck into.
- Tridents that stick into entities now spin in a circle around the entity to indicate the amount of time it will remain stuck into the entity.
- Tridents with the Singularity enchantment are now stuck to the Singularity for the duration of the enchantment, regardless of loyalty.
- Singularity no longer deals knockback when taking damage from the center of it.
- Blazebolt no longer applies knockback.
- Echoing damage from Protective Echo now bypasses armor, enchantments, resistance, and other status effects.
- Protective Echo now has its own unique damage type and related death message.
- Arrows enchanted with Miasma can no longer be picked up after landing on a block.
- New
anvil_relicsconfig option, letting you use the anvil to apply relics instead of the Smithing Table and Infusion Smithing Template. - New
recipes_use_xpconfig option, letting you control whether or not the Enchanting Table uses XP even if you have it enabled. - New
bookshelf_detection_heightandbookshelf_detection_widthconfig options allowing you to determine the range the Enchantment Table searches for bookshelves. - The Enchantment Table no longer cares about obstructions between it and bookshelves.
- Sundered status effect now also increases all damage taken by 15%, on top of the previous 20% armor reduction.
- Coldheart and Heart of the Storm are no longer disabled by default. New textures and names for all relics
- The old textures and names are available with the inbuilt Ascendant Arcana Classic resourcepack.
- All description entries now use
.descand.descriptionto extend compatibility for almost any description implementation for enchantments, status effects, or more. - Restorine fissures now generate between Y levels 60 and 0, instead of Y 64 and 0.
- Haste relics now provide the stated 50% mining speed bonus to tools instead of the much higher bonus it was providing before.
- Base mining speed of all tools (including most modded tools) has been drastically increased. Combined with the change to Haste relics, this should mean that the new maximum mining speed is actually higher than before and scaling from tools feels more natural.
- The mining speed increase is about 2.75x and it can be changed in the config.
- Completely redesigned relic system. For regular players this should mean nothing, but for modpack developers keep the following things in mind:
- The old config options for modifying relic values have been removed. Instead, you must overwrite them in the datapack (at, for example, ascendant_arcana:relics/durability.json)
- This allows you to create custom relics and allows mod developers to extend the new relics system.
- Completely redesigned enchantment recipe system. Enchantments can now have custom recipes for each level.
- Completely redesigned universal repair system to be data-driven. Now a recipe that can be extended to other items (an example is provided at ascendant_arcana:recipes/repairs/restorine.json)
- Changed the recipe for almost every single enchantment, often making them less expensive especially at later levels.
- Changed the recipe for every single relic recipe, making them less expensive and streamlining them significantly.
- Fixed an issue where Restorine Blocks would not drop themselves.
- Fixed an issue where pickaxes would not give increased mining speed to Restorine Blocks.
- Fixed an issue where quick-moving a stack of books would place the entire stack into the Enchanting Table, which would later destroy the entire stack when enchanting.
- Fixed an issue where Ascendant Arcana could situationally produce a ton of log spam at launch.
- Fixed an issue where the
disabled_enchantmentsconfig option would have its order randomized at launch. - Fixed an issue where the Singularity enchantment would sometimes flicker to various sizes. It should now be smooth for the entire animation
- Fixed an issue where Singularity and Blazebolt entities would not be visible while using shaders.
- They do not glow like they should, but they are at least visible.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
