🏦 Bank Vault 1.2.0 — The Sorting Update
The biggest update Bank Vault has ever shipped. The vault GUI has been rebuilt around a category button rail, a curated smart-sorting engine, pinning, and per-player memory — plus first-class support for modded items and a brand-new NeoForge release.
🗂️ Category Buttons
The old tab rail is gone. In its place: an icon-driven button grid, organized into labeled sections — Materials, Building & Decor, Gear & Combat, Food & Nature, Tech & Sources, Other.
- 70+ curated buttons — from Wood and Stone & Brick to Dirt & Special, Sticks, Trinkets & Accessories, and a per-dimension Aether button
- Buttons appear only while your vault holds matching items — deposit something new and watch its categories light up; empty a category and it tidies itself away
- Live-editable: buttons, keywords, and sort orders are JSON configs that reload on vault reopen
🧠 Smart Sorting
Every button carries hand-curated Family and Type orders — wood sorts by species, stone by family runs, iron by production stage (Ores & Raw → Ingots → Blocks → Utility), terracotta by color. Plus classic A-Z and Count modes with direction toggle.
- Section titles (the Titles checkbox): the grid breaks into labeled groups under every sort mode — families, letters, or count ranges
- Smart fallbacks for anything uncurated, so modded items always land somewhere sensible
📌 Pinning
Drop a carried stack onto the Pin box and it jumps to the front of that tab — in every sort mode. Drop it again to unpin. Pins are per-player, per-tab, and persist across sessions.
∞ The Everything Tab
One button. Your entire vault. Grouped A-Z by family with its home category in parentheses — Stone & Brick (Materials) — so you always know where an item lives. Pinned items lead.
💾 It Remembers
The vault now remembers you: your last tab, your per-tab sort choices, your section-titles preference, and your pins — server-side, survives relogs, rename-proof.
🔍 Search, Upgraded
Global search across the whole vault with "Found under" grouping, item tooltips that tell you every button an item lives under, and online-name autocomplete in the sharing corner.
⚙️ Commands
/bank fillall(op) — now registry-driven: fills one of every item from every loaded mod, including mods released long after this version/bank clearall(op) — new: empty the vault in one stroke (upgrades stay)
🧩 Modded Items, First-Class
- 1,700+ items pre-categorized from The Aether, Aether II, The Aether: Redux, and Deep Aether — woods sort with woods, gear with gear, plus a dedicated Aether tab
- Travelers Backpack packs get their own Containers group; chest boats, sleeping bags, and tier upgrades all land in their proper homes
- Identity data is registry-aware: absent mods leave no trace in your UI
🛠️ NeoForge
Bank Vault 1.2.0 ships for Fabric, NeoForge, and Quilt on 26.1.2 — one universal jar, full feature parity. (Trinkets slot integration remains Fabric-only — the Trinkets mod doesn't exist on NeoForge.)
🧯 Fixes & Polish
- Drag-and-drop onto the Pin box works with both gestures (no more vanished stacks)
- Categorical tabs (Desert/Jungle/Ocean…) no longer freeze the grid
- "Uncategorized" now means truly uncategorized — items with homes stay out of it
- Rail section headers readable at every GUI scale
- Full-vault feedback: red blink, capacity latch, and clear chat messages on every denied path
✅ Support Matrix
| Loader | Game version | Verified |
|---|---|---|
| Fabric | 26.1.2 | dedicated server + full in-game pass |
| NeoForge | 26.1.2 | dedicated server + full in-game pass |
| Quilt | 26.1.2 | dedicated server |
Requires Fabric API on Fabric/Quilt. No dependencies on NeoForge.
