Bedrock Miner is a Fabric mod that allows players to mine bedrock in survival mode in a balanced and immersive way.
Normally, bedrock is completely unbreakable. This mod changes that by introducing a custom mining system that requires time, the correct tool, and proper conditions.
How it works:
Bedrock can only be mined using a netherite pickaxe Mining requires holding the break action continuously Breaking is not instant and takes time depending on enchantments and effects The block shows a progressive cracking animation while being mined The mining process resets if the player stops or looks away Breaking time:
No Efficiency: 25 seconds Efficiency I: 20 seconds Efficiency II: 16 seconds Efficiency III: 12 seconds Efficiency IV: 9 seconds Efficiency V: 6 seconds The Haste effect further reduces mining time Features:
Fully functional bedrock mining system Balanced survival gameplay Visual crack animation (vanilla-like) Smooth progression without flickering Tool durability is consumed correctly Works in both singleplayer and multiplayer environments Technical details:
Server-side logic with client synchronization Custom implementation integrated with Minecraft mechanics No external dependencies required Why use this mod: This mod is designed for players who want to expand survival gameplay without breaking game balance. Mining bedrock requires time and effort, making it a late-game mechanic rather than an overpowered feature.
Compatibility:
Minecraft 1.21.1 Fabric loader
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
