better-creative
Minecraft gives you no control over the creative tabs. Install a few mods and the bar turns into pages of tabs you have to click through to reach the three you actually use. This mod lets you sort them, pin the ones you need, and hide the rest.

Compatibility
Changes
Better Creative 2.1.1
Arcadia Better Creative is now Better Creative. Your settings and presets move over by themselves on the first launch.
Changed
- Renamed to Better Creative — The mod id is now
bettercreativeand its files live inconfig/better-creative/: settings inclient.toml, presets inpresets.json, the modpack whitelist inpolicy.json. Settings and presets from an earlier version are moved there automatically on the first launch. A modpack whitelist still atconfig/arcadia/arcadia-better-creative-policy.jsonkeeps working and is left in place. The reload command is now/bettercreative policy reload. - The former jar is refused with a clear message — Keeping the Arcadia Better Creative jar next to Better Creative would load both. The game now stops at loading and names the jar to remove.
- New mod icon — Stacked creative tabs, one gold tab lifted out and pinned with a star, matching the icon of the CurseForge and Modrinth pages.
- License 3.0, closed-source — The source code is no longer published. Playing the mod and including it in a CurseForge or Modrinth modpack that references the official file stay allowed, exactly as before. The protection of the name also covers the former name and mod id. Releases already published keep the license they shipped with. See the license and its plain-language summary.
Fixed
- Empty tabs are no longer listed in the settings screen — A tab a pack empties (with a KubeJS script, for instance) is hidden by the game, but the settings screen still offered pin and hide controls for it. It now lists only the tabs the creative inventory shows; settings stored for a hidden tab come back if the tab gets its items back.
- Pins on absent tabs are kept on save — Saving while a pinned tab's mod was removed dropped the pin. It is now kept, like the hidden list and the custom order.
Notes
- The server companion is now called Creative Admin. Locked tabs reach Better Creative from Creative Admin 2.1.1 and from the earlier Arcadia Creative Admin alike.
- Bug reports: report a bug, the same form the issue link of the mod list opens. Anything the license does not already allow: ask for a permission.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
