š„ Better F5 Cam 1.1.0
Minecraft 26.3 support, in-game config screen & smooth zoom
⨠What's New
š Minecraft 26.3 support The mod has been fully ported to 26.3. Requires Java 25, Fabric Loader 0.19.5 and Fabric API.
āļø Mod Menu config screen Click the config button next to Better F5 Cam in Mod Menu and change every setting in-game. Mod Menu is optional, the mod works fine without it.
š Smooth zoom animation Scrolling now glides instead of snapping. Pick your favorite style:
- Smooth ā fast start, soft landing
- Spring ā slightly overshoots, then settles back
- Linear ā constant speed
- Off ā the old instant behavior
ā±ļø Animation speed slider Frame-rate independent, so it feels the same on any PC.
š±ļø Scroll step Choose how far the camera moves per scroll notch (0.1 to 3.0).
š Scroll acceleration Scroll quickly and the steps grow automatically. Reaching 300 blocks and coming back is now effortless.
š Distance-scaled steps Steps grow as the camera moves farther out and stay precise up close. Can be turned off.
š§ And more:
- Invert scroll option
- Configurable min / max / default distance
- Live preview: the "Test Animation" button shows your animation settings in action
- Reset Settings button
- New distance HUD with a small progress bar (can be disabled)
- English and Turkish translations
š ļø Improvements
- Animation is driven by the camera itself, so it stays smooth even with the HUD hidden (F1)
- Holding F5 no longer cycles the perspective over and over
- Scrolling while a menu is open no longer triggers the zoom
- Keybind category updated to the new system ("Better F5 Cam")
- Your existing
BetterF5.propertiesconfig is still read as-is, new options are added with default values
ā ļø Important
This version is for Minecraft 26.3 only. Use the previous Better F5 Cam releases for older Minecraft versions.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
