Better Party 1.1.7
This update adds server-enforced party rules for dedicated servers, singleplayer worlds, and LAN hosts.
Changes
- Added a hard maximum party-size limit.
- Server owners can disable XP sharing globally.
- Server owners can limit the maximum XP-sharing radius.
- Friendly-fire protection can be disabled globally, forcing party PvP.
- The member locator can be disabled globally. When disabled, exact member coordinates are not sent to clients.
- Locked features cannot be re-enabled by party leaders and are disabled in the UI.
- Rules apply to new, existing, and persistent parties.
- Added wider loader ranges
Server configuration
Forge/NeoForge — config/better_party-common.toml:
[general]
maximumPartySize = 5
[experienceSharing]
allowed = false
maxRadiusChunks = 6
[friendlyFireProtection]
allowed = false
[memberLocator]
allowed = false
Fabric — config/better_party.properties:
general.maximumPartySize=5
experienceSharing.allowed=false
experienceSharing.maxRadiusChunks=6
friendlyFireProtection.allowed=false
memberLocator.allowed=false
Restart the game or server after changing the configuration. Server and client should use the same Better Party version.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
