Changes
Better With Discord 1.0.1
Ported to BTA 8.0.1, with pictures of items and inventories, images from Discord in game and many relay fixes.
Features
[item]and[inv]in chat send a picture of the held item or the whole inventory to Discord, drawn with the game's own textures, font and tooltips.- Inventory pictures show your skin and armor, Aether accessories, the Better With Hands offhand slot and Better With Bags backpacks.
- Backpack contents and maps are drawn inside their tooltip.
- Images posted on Discord can be held in game as a map with
/preview. GIFs play. /playerliston Discord answers with a picture of who is online, like the tab list.- Markdown works both ways, so bold, italics, underline, strikethrough and spoilers show up on both sides.
@namein game mentions that person on Discord.@everyoneand@herenever ping.- Replies, attachments and stickers from Discord show up in the game.
- The bot status shows how many players are online.
- A warning is posted when the server stops responding.
- The console channel can be limited to a list of allowed commands, and every command run from Discord is logged.
Fixes
- Discord messages are handled on the server thread.
- Server nicknames are shown for Discord users.
- Death messages are translated instead of showing their keys.
- Joins and leaves are announced through the player list, so kicks are announced too.
- A deleted webhook is created again automatically.
- The server start message is sent once the server has started, and the bot shuts down with the server.
- Console messages lose their colour codes and send stack traces.
Updating
- Settings moved to
config/better_with_discord.cfg. The old JSON config is moved over automatically. /playerlistneeds theapplications.commandsscope, and pictures need the Embed Links and Attach Files permissions.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
