Changes
Features
- The hydralux sapling tooltip says it needs about 7 blocks of water above to grow
- Wild Waystones now generate in BetterEnd biomes
- Config option to stop giving the guidebook when entering an End Gateway (BetterEnd#535)
- Build for Minecraft 26.3
Changes
- The End's outer void is mostly empty again, with BetterEnd's islands and ice stars mixed in
- BetterEnd saplings take bone meal like vanilla saplings (about 4-5 per tree instead of ~32); natural growth is unchanged
- BetterEnd's island biomes are more common than vanilla's small End islands again
- BetterEnd biomes are slightly more common (x1.25) than vanilla End biomes and biomes of other mods
- Crystalite armor is now stronger than Netherite armor
- Sulphur crystals of age 1 now drop themselves without Silk Touch, like age 0 (BetterEnd#517)
- Block models are bound through WorldWeaver model keys instead of client-only lambdas
- Removed the BYG integration
- Removed the unused Old Bulbis Gardens building templates
- Upgrade bundled structure templates to the 26.3 data format
- End bridges are walkable: railings only on the deck edge, plus an erosion pass
- Elytra protection values read as round numbers
- Crystalite Elytra completes the Crystalite set (BetterEnd#595)
- Food composting rates snap to the supported tiers
Fixes
- JEI lists the End Stone Smelter's fuels in its Alloying Fuel category
- Lacugrove saplings on endstone dust and mossy glowshroom saplings on pallidium or sangnum never grew
- Sulphur crystals, smaragdant shards and hydrothermal vents placed by commands or structures no longer leave a water source behind when broken
- Dedicated servers with Lithium crashed at startup with BetterEnd
- Painted mountains started in a world from before 26.3 were completed without their stone layers
- End fish, shadow berries, chorus mushrooms and bolux mushrooms can now be cooked in a normal furnace, not only in a smoker or on a campfire
- The respawn obelisk could respawn players into a one block high gap, forcing them to crawl
- The respawn obelisk's set-spawn sound played at the wrong position
- Placing a key item on an Eternal Pedestal without partner pedestals crashed the server
- Mountains and other structure pieces left a buried crashed ship's block entities behind, which logged invalid skull block entities
- Desert lakes, geysers, crashed ships and End lotus leaves read terrain outside the chunk area they may write to, which logged unsafe terrain read errors
- The youngest sulphur crystals dropped nothing without Silk Touch; they now always drop themselves (BetterEnd#517)
- Terminite and Thallasium anvils lost their wear when broken and placed again (BCLibBetterEnd#128)
- The Crystalite armor set item tag had no translation
- Geysers read terrain outside the chunk area they may write to, which logged unsafe terrain read errors
- Smaragdant Crystal Pedestal could not be placed, its block entity type did not accept it
- Turkish system locale broke BetterEnd biome and elytra registry names (BetterNetherBetterEnd#285)
- Dedicated servers no longer crash at startup
- Structure templates carried block entity ids of removed types
- The End pillars and the exit portal on the main island were missing on 26.3
- Flower pots were missing from #minecraft:flower_pots, so on 26.3 water and lava no longer washed them away
- BetterEnd chandeliers were not washed away by water and lava
- Plants were no longer washed away by water and lava
- Crystalite armor did not follow poses from Entity Model Features / Fresh Animations (BetterEnd#603)
- 3D Crystalite armor was drawn into the camera during first-person attack animations (BetterEnd#602)
- Several blocks lost their vanilla-like properties: cave pumpkins, neon cactus and crystal shards broke instantly, the eternal portal surface was solid and pushable, aurora and smaragdant crystals suffocated players
- Smaragdant crystal blocks, terminite and thallasium blocks and tiles, brimstone and missing tile dropped nothing when broken
- Petals of neighbouring lumecorns flickered (z-fighting) (BetterEnd#388)
- Tinted glass recipe from smaragdant had a misspelled id (BetterEnd#377)
- Dyed bulb lanterns and dyed hydralux petal blocks dropped nothing when broken (BetterEnd#370)
- Sulphur water tint read the live world from Sodium's meshing threads, crashing clients on servers and breaking Distant Horizons water (BetterEnd#519, BetterEnd#581, BetterEnd#545, BetterEnd#554)
- Using a debug stick on an eternal portal crashed every client in render distance (BetterEnd#527)
- Opening an Eternal Portal could freeze or crash the server while searching for the exit location (BetterEnd#572, BetterEnd#376, BetterEnd#482, BetterEnd#530)
- BYG-only connected-texture entries now load only when BYG is installed (BetterEnd#471)
- End village chests handed out unbreakable Eternal Rune Flavolite instead of normal Runed Flavolite (BetterEnd#381)
- Boats, rafts, spears and the Flower Islets / Waterfall Ponds biomes showed untranslated names (BetterEnd#393)
- End Veil's enchantment description said 'Enderman' instead of 'Endermen' (BetterEnd#368)
- The wither could break Eternal Rune Flavolite and Eternal Pedestals, which are otherwise unbreakable (BetterEnd#406)
- Bone meal destroyed umbrella moss and small jellyshrooms on some ground, and was wasted on amaranita and twisted umbrella moss (BetterEnd#416)
- Hydralux, lilies, lotus and umbrella moss did not trigger observers or BUDs when growing (BetterEnd#456)
- Left fin of the End Fish was attached in the middle of its body instead of on its side (BetterEnd#503)
- Harvested umbrella tree clusters never refilled with juice (BetterEnd#578)
- Fully grown sulphur crystals dropped no crystalline sulphur (BetterEnd#517)
- Path blocks turned into dirt instead of end stone when covered or placed under a block (BetterEnd#605)
- Wall plants, vines and ceiling plants could crash world generation with 'Cannot set property facing' when chunks generated on several threads (BetterEnd#477, BetterEnd#523, BetterEnd#445, BetterEnd#531)
- Iron, golden, diamond and netherite hammers were held flat instead of like a tool (BetterEnd#533)
- Terminite and Thallasium bars and chains were missing from the vanilla and common bars/chains tags (BetterEnd#458, BetterEnd#540)
- Drinking Umbrella Cluster Juice did not return its glass bottle (found while checking BetterEnd#544)
- Mountains and lakes were cut off at chunk borders when generation continued after a world reload (BetterEnd#556)
- Menger sponges broke instantly with stone sounds instead of behaving like vanilla sponges, so hoes gave no speed bonus (BetterEnd#583)
- Spears exposed a tool rule without a tag key, crashing world load with Golden Age Combat, and had wrong attack speed (BetterEnd#601)
- Cave moss lost its top/middle/bottom shapes and no longer generated flipped on cave ceilings (BetterEnd#606)
- End trees read terrain from chunks that were not generated yet
- End Stone Smelter duplicated results after the first craft (BetterEnd#597)
- Smaragdant crystals and end stalactites growing through village buildings
- Aeternium, terminite and thallasium tools rendered flat
- Armored and Crystalite Elytra granted no knockback resistance
- The End crashed with other mods that add ores there (BetterEnd#596)

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
