Beyond & More 4.1.0 — The Wood & Storage Update
This major content update for Beyond & More 4.x introduces new wooden storage variants, improved crafting mechanics, visual fixes, and better consistency across Minecraft mod loaders.
New Features
- Added 11 wood variants of chests, trapped chests, and barrels.
- Added unique textures and inventory models for each wood type.
- Added matching wooden storage blocks to the mod's Creative Mode inventory.
- Expanded alternative crafting recipes for wooden storage blocks.
Crafting Improvements
- Crafting a chest using a single wood type now produces the corresponding wooden chest.
- Mixing different wood types produces the vanilla Minecraft chest.
- Barrels follow the same system: matching wood produces a matching barrel, while mixed wood produces the vanilla barrel.
- Trapped chests can be crafted using a matching wooden chest and a tripwire hook.
- Improved alternative crafting recipes involving logs and wooden slabs.
- Fixed conflicting recipes that previously produced incorrect vanilla items.
Visual Fixes
- Fixed missing textures on chest inventory models.
- Restored the metallic latch on wooden chest inventory icons.
- Improved consistency between placed blocks and inventory models.
- Corrected oak and birch barrel textures to better match their respective wood types.
- Improved organization of the mod's Creative Mode tabs.
Technical Improvements
- Improved rendering consistency across NeoForge, Forge, and Fabric.
- Fixed loader-specific item model and texture issues.
- Improved recipe compatibility and registration.
- Preserved support for 320 language locales.
Compatibility
- Minecraft: 1.21.1
- Mod version: 4.1.0
- Supported loaders: NeoForge, Forge, Fabric
- Java: 21
Testing
- Visual testing successfully completed on all three loaders.
- 67 crafting tests passed on NeoForge.
- All three release JARs successfully compiled and passed integrity checks.
Thank you for playing Beyond & More!
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
