Beyond & More — Version 4.0.10
Minecraft 26.1.2 | NeoForge • Forge • Fabric
Version 4.0.10 expands building customization, adds useful crafting and recycling options, improves language support, and fixes many block textures and models. This release also brings the latest Beyond & More features and fixes to Minecraft 26.1.2 across all three mod loaders.
New Features
Survival Debug Stick
- Added a Survival Debug Stick, obtainable with a 1% chance from Nether Bastion Treasure chests.
- The stick has 128 uses, can be recharged with a Netherite Ingot, and remains in your inventory when depleted.
- Right-click to change a selected supported block-state property. Sneak + right-click to select a different property.
- Change supported facing directions, axes, texture orientations, and vertical-slab states.
- Remove water from waterlogged blocks without allowing water to be added.
- Gameplay-related properties, such as redstone power, open/closed states, age, and levels, remain protected.
- The stick is now correctly available in the Beyond & More Weapons & Tools creative tab.
More Flexible Vertical Slabs
- Added adjustable texture orientation for 28 vertical-slab families, including logs, stripped logs, Pale Oak, stripped Pale Oak, bamboo, bone blocks, polished basalt, quartz pillars, and purpur pillars.
- Use the Survival Debug Stick to move end-grain textures between the top/bottom and front/back faces.
- Supports both single and double vertical slabs, as well as horizontal facing directions.
- Hay Bale Vertical Slabs now support the same two-way texture-orientation feature.
- Magenta Glazed Terracotta Vertical Slabs now support four arrow rotations with the Survival Debug Stick: up → right → down → left. These orientations are also supported for double slabs.
Blocks
- Added the Cyan Concrete Powder Slab, completing the concrete-powder slab color family.
- Improved compatibility and model consistency for building variants throughout the mod.
Crafting Recipes & Balancing
- Added Cobbled Deepslate and Blackstone crafting alternatives for Levers, Pistons, Dispensers, Droppers, and Observers.
- Added Blackstone and Cobbled Deepslate alternatives for Repeaters and Comparators. Existing vanilla recipes are preserved.
- Added 1 Wool → 2 String, 9 String → 1 Cobweb, 1 Sandstone → 4 Sand, and 1 Red Sandstone → 4 Red Sand.
- Added reverse glass crafting: 8 Glass Panes → 3 Glass Blocks, including all 16 stained-glass colors.
- Added reverse crafting for 156 framed-glass pane variants, preserving their colors and frame materials.
- Added 1 Bricks Block → 4 Bricks and 1 Nether Bricks Block → 4 Nether Bricks.
- Added Paper from Bamboo and Leather from Rotten Flesh.
- Standardized stair recipes to 6 Blocks → 6 Stairs and wooden trapdoors to 6 Planks → 6 Trapdoors.
- Added a Composter recipe using 6 Wooden Slabs and balanced reverse stair recipes to prevent material duplication.
- Added 147 missing Beyond & More stonecutter conversions: 140 slab outputs and 7 stair outputs, using 1 Block → 2 Slabs or 1 Block → 1 Stair.
- Restored two missing crafting conversions involving Quartz and Purpur Pillar vertical slabs.
Tool Recycling
- Added durability-based recycling that returns part of an item's crafting material:
- Pickaxes / Axes: 3 materials when unused, 2 with at least 50% durability remaining, otherwise 1.
- Swords / Hoes: 2 materials when unused, otherwise 1.
- Shovels: 1 material.
- Supports Wood, Stone, Iron, Gold, Diamond, Beyond & More Steel, and Copper tools on Minecraft 26.1.2. Netherite tools remain excluded.
- Recycle two different tools made of the same material together, or 3–9 same-material tools of mixed types in one crafting grid.
- Material recovery is calculated separately from each tool's remaining durability.
- Preserves vanilla repair when combining two identical tools and prevents recycling mixed materials.
Mods Menu & Translations
- Added a unified Mods screen across NeoForge, Forge, and Fabric, with mod search, versions, authors, descriptions, licenses, websites, and available metadata.
- Improved resizable panels, scrolling, translation coverage indicators, and text wrapping for long descriptions.
- Fixed duplicate Mods buttons and improved their positioning, including placement alongside Minecraft Realms where appropriate.
- Added manual JSON language import and export through a managed resource pack, without modifying the original mod JAR.
- Added support for 320 languages and regional variants: 143 Mojang-supported locales plus 177 additional locales.
- Improved translation alignment between Minecraft, Beyond & More, and the three mod loaders, including placeholder handling and language-code corrections.
- The experimental automatic translation feature remains disabled and hidden in this release. Manual import and export remain available.
Visual Fixes & Bug Fixes
- Fixed Grass Block Slabs: half-height sides now use the correct section of the vanilla texture instead of compressing the entire 16-pixel texture.
- Fixed Grass Block Vertical Slabs: narrow faces now use properly cropped 8-pixel sections.
- Corrected UV mapping on Grass Block Stairs, Fences, Fence Gates, Walls, Buttons, and Pressure Plates.
- Restored the correct green grass tint in inventory icons for grass-block building variants.
- Corrected Chiseled Sandstone and Chiseled Red Sandstone variants: decorative patterns now appear on the front and side faces, with the appropriate plain top textures.
- Fixed Chiseled Sandstone Trapdoors in both colors so the decorative pattern appears on their broad surface.
- Corrected side/top textures for Cut Sandstone and Cut Red Sandstone Stairs.
- Fixed texture orientations for logs, bone blocks, hay bales, quartz/purpur pillars, and other orientable vertical slabs.
- Improved cross-loader consistency for block models, item rendering, and the custom Mods interface.
Compatibility
- Minecraft: 26.1.2
- Mod loaders: NeoForge, Forge, Fabric
- All three loader builds have been tested in-game, rebuilt with the final fixes, and verified for release.
- This release is intended for Minecraft 26.1.2. Use the separate 1.21.1 files if you play on Minecraft 1.21.1.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
