Highlights Weather for every dimension: Icelands blizzards, Ether petal storms, Limbo ash storms and Mindscape data/bubble rains, each with their own HUD overlay, sounds and storm-only creatures. Codex of the Edge: an animated in-game guide book with a themed chapter per dimension, lost pages to collect. Mindscape reborn as a Frutiger Aero dream world: new terrain, 470+ decoration blocks, a playable "Aero XP" computer, a games lounge, AI-powered Users and a finale event. Dimensional Bank & Casino: trade dimension fragments for points and gamble them on roulette or blackjack. Easier progression between worlds: lit Icelands portals in the Overworld, a Mindscape portal sanctuary in the Limbo, and fixed return portals on servers. Icelands Blizzards New blizzard system unique to the Icelands. Intensity follows a natural schedule computed identically on server and client The King Ice boss can summon his own blizzard. /ventisca iniciar [seconds] | detener [seconds] | estado (permission level 2). Body cold Every player now has a body temperature (0–100, 37 °C when warm). It drops with exposure (open sky, blizzards, water, powder snow, altitude) reduced by insulation (Neo Ice Ring, leather, the mod's ice armors), and rises near heat sources (campfires, fire, lava, magma, lit furnaces, lanterns, torches). Below 25 you go numb (Slowness + Mining Fatigue); at 0 you start taking damage. Thermometer HUD next to the hotbar: the liquid changes color from warm orange to icy white, frost creeps over the glass, it shakes when you're freezing, and shows a flame near heat, a trend arrow and a snowflake during blizzards. Screen edges frost over in extreme cold. Sky & atmosphere Aurora borealis: three rippling curtains in the northern sky, drawn after the vanilla sky with additive blending. Animated entry title when you arrive in the Icelands. Music fix: Icelands music now starts promptly instead of inheriting up to 20 minutes of vanilla music delay. New blocks & world generation Ice crystal clusters (grow like amethyst in geodes and the Crystal Caverns), frost flowers and frozen ferns, thin translucent frost that melts near strong light. Icicles hang from ceilings, crack when you walk underneath and fall for damage. Glacial ice veins inside mountains, glaciers flowing down the valleys, permafrost, frost lamps (animated, light 15), frozen berry bushes. Blizzard spirits, a horn and a rune. 20 new Icelands blocks: glacial ice bricks, frost tiles, carved ice pillar, aurora mosaic, polar fur rug, a shakeable magic snow globe, a talking snowman, an icicle wind chime that rings when you pass by or the blizzard blows, a singing crystal that plays one note per click like a note block, an aurora lantern, and more. The snowman now spawns naturally in the world, with new lines that appear in chat and when you shake the snow globe. Getting there 4 new Overworld structures with an already-lit Icelands portal and a glacial chest (always a Frozen Lighter plus 2–5 Mystic Ice): Frost Sanctuary in snowy biomes. Explorer's Camp in taigas and hills. Frozen Ruins in plains, forests, cherry groves and jungles. Frozen Oasis in deserts, savannas and badlands. Findable with /locate structure #beyond_the_edge_era:portales_icelands. Ether — "The Living Ether" Petal storms The gentle counterpart of the blizzard: each 10-minute cycle has a 40% chance of a 2-minute petal storm. Pink fog, wind-blown spinning petals, and an overlay with a breathing pink veil, golden sun rays and cherry branches that grow from the corners. /petalos forces or calms the storm. New biomes Bamboo Forest and Corrupted Garden. The Pagoda of Light now only generates in the Corrupted Garden. Creatures Koi carp, sometimes golden, in koi ponds. Kitsune: feed it an inari and it runs to the Pagoda of Light, leaving a will-o'-the-wisp trail. The first time, it gives you its mask. Kodama: tiny bamboo-forest spirits that follow you, bring luck and sometimes gift an orb. Use the orb to free a kodama companion. Killing one brings bad luck. Sakurei: a flying petal spirit that only appears during petal storms. Drops Ether fragments. Events The Hour of Fear: every midnight for 2 minutes. Villagers wake and stare toward the nearest pagoda, bells toll and monster hordes arrive every 15 s. The screen gets a heartbeat red veil and red fog. Incense wards it off. Lantern Festival: every three days at dusk, lanterns rise from the villages, with warm fog light and more frequent flutes. Blocks & items Japanese decor: paper lanterns, stone tōrō lanterns, tatami, shoji, zen sand, kawara roof tiles, vermilion wood (with stairs and slabs), bamboo and spirit bamboo, sakura leaves that drop petals, sakura saplings, lotus flowers, petal carpets, spreading corrupted moss and rotten logs. 20 new Ether blocks: Decorative: jade bricks, bamboo lattice, river stone, noren curtain, painted folding screen. Interactive: a shishi-odoshi, a temple gong that gives courage and scares monsters, a maneki-neko (one gift per day), a healing tea set and a kakejiku scroll with haikus. Generated in the world: kodama mushroom (luck) and a kitsune stone (offerings give a blessing). Food: raw and cooked koi, inari, dango, onigiri, matcha. Gear: Lucky Charm: Luck I while in your inventory. Kitsune Mask: night vision and highlights nearby monsters. Temple Bell: highlights monsters within 24 blocks. Incense: 5 minutes free of natural monsters, including Hour of Fear hordes. Armor set bonuses: Full Itium or better: +2 hearts. Full Eterium: +4 hearts and Resistance I. Eterium now actually feels stronger than Neoice or Crystal. Limbo Soul drain & HUD Soul drain reworked with a reliquary HUD that replaces the old boss bar. Soul mist drains from cyan to violet to red, an inner flame changes through stages and the glass cracks. Soul Beacon:
Carried in your hand: halves the drain.
Recovery when you leave the Limbo: two hours of Limbo are recovered in about 12 minutes.
Ash storms
Third weather system: a 35% chance per 10-minute cycle. Soul drains twice as fast and chests glow in the dark.
Sideways ash and embers, closed grey fog, and silhouettes at the fog edge that fade when you look at them.
Whispers that pan from ear to ear.
/ceniza iniciar | detener | estado.
Ash Shade: a tall hostile silhouette that only spawns during ash storms. It sometimes dissolves and reappears beside you. Drops Limbo fragments.
The Creditor
Offering blood at the altar past certain thresholds (150 / 450 / 800) puts you in debt.
One or two in-game days later, the Creditor comes to collect, in any dimension.
Pay with a blood vial, three obols or a Promissory Note and he leaves.
Refuse or hit him and he hunts you, teleporting behind you with chaining blows.
Changing dimension or logging out only delays him.
New Chained effect.
Herobrine
Rarely appears in the Limbo (more often the more soul you've lost), 20–40 blocks away, standing still and staring.
Looking at him drains your soul faster, pulls your camera toward him, shakes the screen and makes you breathe heavily.
He only leaves if you crouch and look at the ground for about 3 seconds.
/herobrine invocar | quitar.
New content
Four new biomes, with charred trees, stone hands, floating abyss islands and hanging roots.
Relics:
Soul Strike: anvil, weapon + Limbo Core. 30% of the hit ignores armor.
Blessed Vial: anvil, blood vial + Condemnation Fragment. Its blood counts double.
Heart of the Limbo: once a day, saves you from death and takes you back to your last altar.
Ink Flask and Creditor's Ledger.
Building blocks:
Polished lament stone, cracked lament bricks, lament pillar and charred planks.
Soul glass (gives off light), and condemnation lanterns and chains.
Dried ink and burning ash, which burns like magma.
A watcher stone that opens its eye and emits redstone when someone is within 6 blocks.
Ten more items, a new Calm effect (halves the soul drain), a mourning mask and seven new paintings.
20 new Limbo blocks, including ink candles with cyan flames and a broken mirror that shows how much soul the Limbo has stolen.
All Limbo textures were redone with volume, tinted outlines and soul, blood and ember accents.
Fixes
Blood offered at the altar is no longer lost on death.
Dying or disconnecting mid-ritual now cancels it cleanly: no stuck "infinite" Slowness or Fatigue, and the altar resets.
Boss anchor crystals no longer explode and crater the sand.
Periodic effects such as Regeneration and Wither no longer break from being reapplied every tick.
Codex of the Edge (guide book)
A 3D book that opens in your hand, with a full-screen themed interface and its own looping music with cross-fades.
One chapter per dimension, each with its own theme, animated opening scene and title. The general index is paginated; chapter lists scroll with the mouse wheel, a draggable bar or arrows.
Lost pages for each dimension are hidden in loot and drops. Your progress is saved per player and survives death. /codice paginas <n> [dimension] for testing.
The Dimensional Bank opens from the Codex by pulling its ribbon.
Dimensional Bank & Casino
Bank: deposit fragments for dimensional points and withdraw them at the same rate. Everything is server-authoritative.
Aurora Fragment (Icelands): 10 points.
Ether Fragment (from Sakurei): 13 points.
Limbo Fragment (from Ash Shades): 16 points.
Dream Fragment (only from Mindscape incursions): 20 points.
Folder-style tabs above the frame: Bank, Casino and Shop (locked, coming soon).
Casino:
European roulette: dozens pay ×3, even-money bets ×2.
Blackjack: 6 decks, the dealer stands on 17, a natural pays 3:2, and you can double down.
Maximum bet of 5,000 per round. Your shown balance freezes during each play so the animation isn't spoiled.
Mindscape — Frutiger Aero rebuild
World
Fully rebuilt terrain and floating islands in a glossy Frutiger Aero style: meadow-green Aero grass, clouds, giant bubbles and gentle ambient particles. Density and generation speed have been tuned.
64 blocks, 41 items, 71 recipes and 3 paintings
Creatures: Sky Jellyfish, Holographic Butterfly, Sky Whale, Aero Dolphin, Chrome Drone and Bubble Snail.
New skyline structures: Aero Tecno tower (a lab, offices and a hotel), a rooftop with a pool, garden and helipad, a plaza, and a skyscraper with CRT monitors. Spacing keeps the two towers apart.
Return portal placement fixed on servers for the Icelands, Ether, Limbo and Mindscape. It no longer spawns inside mountains, in mid-air or in caves.
Getting in
The Guardian Golem now drops the Dream Lighter, which used to be creative-only.
Dream Sanctuary: a floating island in all five Limbo biomes. It has a glass dome, a sky-blue beacon beam and a broken Aero Crystal portal frame. Its chests contain the missing crystals.
Aero Crystal and its fragments were added to the Limbo loot tables.
Gear progression
Shadow (Limbo) → Dream → Crystal → Aero, upgraded at the smithing table with new Upgrade Templates and ingots:
Dream gear, with its own ore (Y −16 to 80) and the "Lucid Dream" full-set bonus.
Crystal gear (tier 11).
Aero gear. The Aero template from legendary loot, and can be duplicated.
Divine Wheel:
Worn on your head, it saves you from death, turns one notch and adapts to that damage: the first turn halves it, the second makes you immune.
Adaptations last 8 minutes and are specific to the source, so adapting to zombie hits doesn't protect you from skeletons.
It turns at most 9 times, then breaks. Each turn makes you slightly larger.
Shows "You adapt to <damage>" in chat, with its own spin animation and sound.
CREATIVE ONLY FOR NOW
Aero Player & discs
Aero Player: a real menu with a turntable and a 4-disc playlist.
New music discs

Users — AI-powered NPCs
Right-click a User to open an Aero chat window.
Replies come from a local AI (llama.cpp + Qwen2.5, downloaded with your permission and checksum-verified), so you don't need to install anything.
Each User has its own personality.
Fixed phrases are used if the AI is off.
Optional external brains: Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, OpenRouter, Groq, DeepSeek, Ollama, LM Studio or a custom endpoint, configured in the "Brain" panel.
Orders: 36 natural-language commands such as follow, stay, guard or escort, with stances (normal, aggressive, peaceful), plus an 18-slot backpack and equipment.

Users sit on furniture, use machines, open doors and sleep in beds.
A "♥ Relationships" panel, and their memories feed into the AI.
Performance: Users far from players go idle, and distant ones aren't rendered.
Tower enemies
Pop-up Window, Chrome Sentinel, Corrupted Bubble, Phantom Cursor and Holographic Guard. They only come from hidden spawners in the tower.
Weather: data rain & bubble rain
Data rain (bad): drains lucidity, increases gravity and makes the world "lag".
Bubble rain (good).
Each has a 22% chance per cycle. /lluviadatos, /lluviaburbujas.
Incursions
During heavy data rain under the open sky, the sky cracks open in a Voronoi-shattered tear full of corrupted glyphs and data spilling down.
Three trials:
Capture 10 data packets in 30 s.
Fly through 7 rings in 35 s.
Survive the download for 25 s.
Reward: 10 Dream Fragments, the only source of them. /incursion iniciar [player] | detener | saltar | estado.
The Final Event — "System Error" & "The Awakening"
Insert the Access Card into the Access Totem. A guide beam and rings lead you to it, with a distance arrow while you hold the card.
A live, music-synced event (no boss):
Four processes open during the song's breaks: bubbles.exe (weight), lucidity.exe, keys.exe (Simon) and copy.exe (experience shield).
Miss one and you get a blue screen.
It ends with The Awakening: a sea of data that rises to the horizon, a staircase of memories and a midday sun.
Rewards:
The Oneiric Lighter.
A Mindscape lost page.
The "System Error" and "The Awakening" music discs.
CRT monitors show a blue screen during the event. Every block the event places is restored afterward.
/mindscapeevento iniciar | detener | saltar | completar <n> | estado.
🧭 General
Creative tabs reorganized by category.
Textures improved and animated across the Ether, Limbo and Icelands.
Dimension sky, cloud and fog effects now register correctly for all dimensions. Previously only one dimension got its own effects, at random.
All custom network channels are unified in one registry, which fixes a server crash ("Registration of impl channels is locked").
Mindscape optimization: faster loading and less lag. Nightmare mobs were removed from the Mindscape.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
