🚀 The Anniversary Milestone: 59 Downloads The "Second Era" begins with the mod nearly doubling its previous celebration point of 30 downloads [16, Conversation]. With over 200 elements created in MCreator, the mod continues to expand its reputation for high technical complexity and "cursed" gameplay [16, 70, Conversation]. 📦 New Features & Cursed Mechanics
- The Obsidian Package (Trap Block) This is a sophisticated spatial trap designed to punish player movement. Unlike previous traps, this one uses the block's position as the "root" for the procedure to ensure 100% accuracy [Conversation]. Trigger: Activates when a player steps on the block [62, Conversation]. The "Sarcophagus" Logic: The procedure replaces surrounding air blocks with Obsidian to create a sealed prison: Walls: At x±1 and z±1 on levels y+1 (legs) and y+2 (head) [62, Conversation]. Corners/Diagonals: The procedure fills all diagonal coordinates (e.g., x+1,z+1) to ensure the box is perfectly airtight [Conversation]. Roof: A block is placed at y+3, sealing the top [62, Conversation]. Escape Difficulty: The internal space is exactly 1×1×2, fitting the player perfectly but making escape impossible without an iron or diamond pickaxe [Conversation].
- The Obsidian Pickaxe (Cursed Tool) A new "proklyata" (cursed) tool that subverts player expectations of powerful obsidian gear [Conversation]. Recipe: Uses a standard pickaxe shape but crafted with obsidian [Conversation]. "Heavy Weight" Mechanic: Because the tool is extremely heavy, it carries a severe physical penalty. The Penalty: When the player breaks a block, the pickaxe "hits them on the leg" and bounces off [Conversation]. Durability: The tool is immediately removed from the inventory after it deals damage to the player, making it a high-risk, one-time-use item that causes "very painful" damage [Conversation].
- The Anniversary Rocket (Updated Legacy Craft) The Birthday Rocket (v1.0.7Party!) now has an official recipe that symbolizes the history of the entire mod [70, Conversation]. Historical Ingredients: Dynamic Booster: The very first block created for the mod, symbolizing stillness, laughter, and trolling [Conversation]. Ruby: The classic material introduced in version 1.0.1 [2, 41, Conversation]. Real TV: The complex multi-channel system from version 1.0.6 [8, 12, Conversation]. Mechanic: Upon activation, it simulates flight by replacing blocks at y+1 and y+2 before detonating with a massive Power 7 explosion [72, Conversation]. ⚙️ Technical Philosophy: Stillness & Trolling The Second Era is built on the pillars of "stillness, laughter, and trolling," continuing the tradition of blocks like Nitro Liquid (instant detonation) and Fake Bricks (lava replacement) [40, 45, Conversation]. By utilizing advanced MCreator procedures involving coordinate offsets and inventory checks, the mod has transitioned from simple traps to complex systems that manipulate the player's physical space and inventory [62, 72, Conversation].
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
