Changes
First release of BlackStep.
Disables the double-tap-forward sprint trigger. Every other way of sprinting is untouched — the Sprint key, toggle sprint, sprinting on a mount, elytra and riptide all behave as normal.
Features
- Toggle key (
[by default), rebindable from vanilla's Controls screen - Short popup confirming the new state when you press it
- Settings screen through ModMenu
- Config in
config/blackstep.json, applies immediately
Requirements
- Minecraft 26.1 – 26.2
- Fabric Loader 0.19.3+
- Fabric API 0.148.0+
- Java 25+
- ModMenu 18.0.0+ (optional, for the settings screen)
Client-side only.
For the earlier steps: File blackstep-1.0.0.jar, Loaders Fabric, Game versions 26.1 / 26.1.1 / 26.1.2 / 26.2.x, Environment client-side required, server-side unsupported.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
