Changes
Blindspot 0.4.0
New
- Boat status optimization: Every tick, vanilla scans the fluids and block collision shapes around each boat to work out whether it is in water, under water, on land or in the air. This also happens for parked boats and boats moved by the server. Blindspot now reuses the last result while the boat's bounding box is exactly the same and none of the chunks around it changed. Blocks whose collision shape can change without a block change (pistons, shulker boxes, scaffolding and other blocks vanilla marks as having a dynamic shape) are never cached, so the result is always the same as in vanilla.
- The cache verification mode (
-Dblindspot.verifyCaches=true) now also covers the boat status cache.
Changed
- All Minecraft versions now use the same version naming: the Minecraft version is appended as build metadata, e.g.
0.4.0+26.3,0.4.0+26.2and0.4.0+26.1. This now also applies to the latest Minecraft version.
Compatibility
- Tested together with Sodium 0.9.2 and Lithium 0.26.2 on Minecraft 26.3.
- Fabric API is still not required.
- Mods that completely replace the vanilla sidebar, tab list or boat code may conflict with Blindspot. In that case the game usually crashes at startup instead of showing wrong results. Please open an issue with your log if this happens.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
