BondCraft Fabric v1.8.0
This update introduces BondCraft's first Main Quest chapter, the new dedicated Battlefield system, four new support items, three new desert monsters, the Party Status Panel, new combat mechanics, and various gameplay, UI, and system improvements.
๐ Main Quest: Plains Chapter
Added BondCraft's first Main Quest chapter: Plains Chapter.
The Plains Chapter introduces a structured progression that begins with learning about contracts and gradually leads players deeper into the mysteries surrounding BondCraft's world.
During the chapter, players will:
- Learn about the Bond system
- Make a new contract
- Form an Active Party
- Fight alongside Bond mobs
- Search for Portal Residues
- Speak with residents of the Starting Village
- Witness a mysterious portal event
- Investigate traces connected to the disturbance
- Unlock a dedicated Battlefield encounter
- Face the chapter's major battle
- Return to Eil to complete the Plains Chapter
The Main Quest provides a new progression path while introducing players naturally to several of BondCraft's core systems.
๐ Journal System
Added the new Journal, accessible with the J key.
The Journal allows players to view and follow their quest progression.
The new quest foundation supports:
- Main Quests
- Future Subquests
- Quest progression states
- Main Quest progression ON / OFF
- Persistent quest progress
Disabling Main Quest progression prevents further Main Quest progression without deleting existing progress.
โ Battlefield System
Added a new dedicated Battlefield system for major encounters.
Battlefields provide isolated arenas for dedicated Boss challenges while remaining separate from normal Wild encounters.
Features include:
- Dedicated Battlefield dimension
- Isolated challenge arenas
- Active Party transfer
- Dedicated Boss encounter handling
- Safe return after challenge completion or retreat
- Battlefield-specific death handling
- Challenge cleanup
- Logout and reconnect recovery
- Multiplayer challenge isolation
Inventory, Armor, Offhand items, and XP are preserved when the player dies during a Battlefield challenge.
Players can also continue fighting alone if all Bond allies become Down, or retreat from the challenge.
Dedicated Boss encounters can be completed through normal defeat or successful contracting where supported.
Battlefield Party Lock
The Active Party used when entering a Battlefield challenge is now fixed for the duration of the challenge.
While a challenge is active:
- Active Party members cannot be manually replaced with Reserve monsters
- Party slots cannot be manually rearranged
- Manual Active / Reserve composition changes are restricted
- Down allies cannot be replaced with Reserve monsters
Normal successful contracts remain compatible with the existing Bond system.
Battlefield Protection & Cleanup
Added additional protection and cleanup systems for Battlefield arenas.
- Prevents normal block breaking and placement
- Prevents fluid and fire modification
- Prevents explosions from destroying arena terrain
- Cleans dropped items and experience orbs
- Improves Boss and challenge summon cleanup
- Improves cleanup after completion and retreat
- Improves logout and reconnect handling
- Improves challenge entity validation
๐งด New Support Items
Added four new support items for Bond mobs.
Heal Spray
- Restores 25% HP to a single owned Bond mob
- Cannot be used on Down mobs
- Reusable with limited durability
Heal Mist
- Restores 20% HP to eligible Active Party members
- Does not affect Reserve or Down mobs
- Reusable with limited durability
Cleanse Spray
- Removes applicable harmful MobEffects from an owned Bond mob
- Does not remove BondCraft mechanics that are not MobEffects
- Reusable with limited durability
Recovery Kit
- Can only be used on an owned Down Bond mob
- Recovers the target with 25% HP
- Stackable
The new support items are available through Nyan's Shop.
๐ Nyan's Shop Improvements
Expanded Nyan's Shop with the new Bond support items:
- Heal Spray
- Heal Mist
- Cleanse Spray
- Recovery Kit
These items provide new options for healing, cleansing harmful effects, and recovering Down allies during adventures.
๐พ 3 New Monsters
Added three new monsters to the desert:
- Gravebearer: Mourn
- Crowness
- Vorak
Each monster introduces its own combat mechanics, passive ability, and role within a Bond team.
Gravebearer: Mourn
Added Gravebearer: Mourn, an Undead TANK monster that appears in the desert at night.
- Durable mid-boss monster
- Uses both melee and ranged attacks
- Melee attacks can inflict Weakness
- High knockback resistance
- Oath of Mourning increases Mourn's DEF when an allied Bond mob is Down nearby while Mourn is engaged in combat
Crowness
Added Crowness, a Spirit SUPPORT monster found in the desert during the day.
- Wild Crowness does not actively attack players
- Retaliates when attacked
- Uses ranged attacks
- Attacks can inflict Glowing
- Spirit Gathering draws nearby dropped items toward Crowness while bonded
Vorak
Added Vorak, a Devil DEBUFF monster found in the desert at night.
Vorak is the first planned monster from BondCraft's original Sin series and embodies Craving.
- Wild Vorak is hostile
- Melee attacks can inflict Craving
- Immune to Craving
- Insatiable Thirst temporarily increases movement speed after defeating an enemy
BondCraft's Sin series uses its own original sins and is not based directly on the traditional Seven Deadly Sins.
๐ Craving
Added the new harmful status effect Craving.
Craving reduces healing received by the affected target.
Vorak can inflict Craving through melee attacks and is naturally immune to the effect.
๐ฅ Party Status Panel
Added a new expandable Party Status Panel to the Inventory screen.
The panel displays information for the current Active Party:
- Party Slot
- Name
- Level
- Role
- HP
- ATK
- DEF
- Movement Speed
- Knockback Resistance
Temporary attribute changes are also reflected in the displayed values.
When an effective attribute differs from its normal base value, an arrow indicates whether the attribute is currently increased or decreased.
The Party Status Panel is read-only and does not replace the Bond Manager.
๐ฏ Target Info Improvements
Improved and simplified the Target Info display.
Target Info now focuses on:
- Target Name
- Current HP / Maximum HP
- Sacred Mark stacks when applicable
Standard MobEffects such as Poison, Weakness, Corruption, and Craving are no longer duplicated in Target Info.
This reduces unnecessary UI clutter while keeping important target information visible.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
