Changes
Broadcast Radio 0.2.3
New Features
- Added signal attenuation system, signal distance decreases when passing through blocks, each block has different absorption value
- Added block absorption configuration file, allowing customization of absorption values for each block
- Added single-reflection propagation, signal can reach destination by reflecting off block surfaces when direct path is blocked
- Added block reflection configuration file, allowing customization of reflection capability for each block
- Added harmonic propagation, signals are generated at 2nd/3rd harmonics of the main frequency with decreasing distance
- Added signal strength indicator, displays signal strength and signal quality above the hotbar when receiving messages
Improvements
- Signal propagation changed from fixed distance check to realistic attenuation calculation
- UI layer order adjusted to prevent being obscured
Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue where player name and frequency display positions were reversed when receiving radio messages
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
