UPDATE: 2.4.5
[WHAT'S NEW]
- Cannibals now capture players/villagers instead of just killing them, carrying them back to their village.
- Added Whistle to control Hammerhead Shark actions.
- Added Wilson Ball (Cast Away movie reference).
[CANNIBAL CAPTURE]
- Cannibals can capture villagers and players who are below half health, taking them to the bamboo cages in their village.
- The player's belongings will be moved to the nearest chest outside the cage.
- If a village doesn't have prisoner cages, the cannibal won't capture, but will instead kill the player and eat their meat. (meaning, stilt house cannibals won't capture, only village cannibals, and only in villages that have a cage)
- Upon being imprisoned, the player will receive Mining Fatigue and won't be able to escape until the timer runs out (10s); items will be confiscated and transferred to the nearest chest outside the cage.
[WHISTLE]
- Right-clicking allows you to call your Hammerhead Shark back or release it.
- Only tamed Hammerhead Sharks respond to the whistle.
- Blowing the whistle makes your mount (horse, donkey, mule, camel) come to you.
- Blowing the whistle makes dolphins curious and causes them to approach.
- Blowing the whistle within a 32-block radius of a sleeping cannibal/seagull/mermaid wakes them up. Cannibals wake up angry if the player is not a tribe member; otherwise, they just wake up.
[OTHER]
- Added the /passdays command to update cannibalism progression for Rutia Statue worship. (This command simulates the amount of days passed without eating human meat and also resets the Rutia Statue worship cooldown)
- Seagulls can now move their heads individually and look at the player.
- Playing drums now activates Sculk Sensors and the Warden.
- Added a toggle for players not to drop human meat on death (for servers), set to false by default.
[BUG FIXES]
- Fixed a bug that caused the sacrificial villager in the Watarru ceremony to float into the sky forever without exploding.
- Fixed a bug where the Hammerhead Shark took damage when jumping out of the water while ridden by a player.
- Fixed a bug where the Hammerhead Shark would float in the air after the player jumped off.
- Fixed missing death message when killed by a dart.
- Fixed a bug where cannibals wouldn't strike a pose when aiming with a blowgun.
[WILSON BALL]
- It's a ball.
[TRIVIA]
- While programming the cannibal to take captured villagers away, the villager would sometimes "possess" the cannibal's body and steer it away. (fixed for official release)
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
