Update Details
What's New:
- Added rules:
fakePlayerConnectionLifecycle: Completes FabricDISCONNECTevents and network session cleanup when Carpet fake players leave or the server shuts down, helping mods such as BlueMap update player state.iceRailSpeed: Adds four speed-limit modes for rails supported by packed or blue ice: vanilla,1on both,1/2on packed/blue ice, and limits with compensation reserved for the vanilla passenger multiplier.minecartNoPassengerSpeedPenalty: Changes the on-rail movement multiplier for occupied minecarts from0.75to1, independently of the ice speed rule.
All new rules are disabled by default: iceRailSpeed defaults to 0, and the other two rules default to false.
- Additional notes about
fakePlayerConnectionLifecycle:
- Reuses the existing Fabric networking object for disconnect cleanup without repeating existing
INITorJOINevents. Connections created while enabled still receive cleanup if the rule is later disabled.- Supports shadow players and replacement by a player with the same UUID. Fake-player tick and action-pack scheduling are preserved, allowing use alongside Carpet TIS Addition's
fakePlayerTicksLikeRealPlayer.- Fake players still have no real client, and this rule does not simulate client handshakes. Disconnect listener exceptions are logged and session cleanup still runs, but subsequent listeners are not guaranteed to execute after an exception.
- Additional notes about the minecart rules:
All speeds are in blocks per tick, without conversion or compensation for TPS.

- Neither rule reads or restricts the other. Mode
3reserves fixed compensation for vanilla's0.75multiplier; enabling the passenger rule as well raises the occupied blue ice maximum further to8/3.- Applies to default minecart movement without changing the Minecart Improvements experiment. Ice type is determined by the block directly supporting the current rail. Ordinary ice, other supports, and derailed carts retain vanilla limits. The passenger rule also works independently on ordinary tracks.
- Vanilla acceleration, braking, drag, and stored velocity are preserved. Leaving ice-supported rails restores vanilla limits without additionally clearing stored velocity. Higher limits do not guarantee that every vehicle can accelerate to them on its own. Furnace minecarts retain their own speed-limit multipliers.
- Ice limits also apply to underwater rails while preserving additional water drag. Curves, slopes, movement direction adjustment across blocks, and rail activation order retain vanilla behavior; no automatic speed reduction or segmented movement is added.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
