CarryOnPaper
CarryOnPaper is a server-side Carry On-style plugin for Paper and compatible servers. Sneak and right-click a configured block or living mob to pick it up and place it elsewhere—players do not need a client-side mod.
Features
- Carry configurable blocks, including chests, barrels, furnaces, hoppers, shulker boxes and anvils.
- Preserve container inventories by default; a safety guard prevents pickup if contents cannot be serialized.
- Carry living mobs with configurable rules. New living entity types are allowed by default unless denied; player entities are always excluded.
- Configure block/entity allow and deny lists, sneak and empty-hand requirements, carry limits, speed, carrier item appearance and whether carried items may be stored in containers.
- English, German, French and Spanish messages; MiniMessage or legacy color formatting; configurable sounds.
- Optional update notices for the console and server operators.
Compatibility
The API compile matrix covers Bukkit/Spigot 1.21–1.21.11 and 26.1–26.3. Java 21 is required for Minecraft 1.21.x; Minecraft 26.x servers require Java 25. Compile checks are not runtime smoke tests for every server fork/build.
Use the Paper artifact on Paper and compatible Paper forks such as Purpur. The separate CarryOnSpigot artifact is built against Spigot API and is the file provided on SpigotMC.
Install and commands
- Put the matching JAR in the server's plugins folder and restart the server.
- Edit the generated config, language and sounds files as needed.
- Use /carryon help, /carryon reload or /carryon language <language>. Aliases: /co, /carry.
Permissions include carryon.use, carryon.carry.blocks, carryon.carry.entities, carryon.reload, carryon.language, carryon.bypass.limit and carryon.admin (operator by default).
CarryOnPaper 1.0.2
- Added all shulker box colors and anvils to the default block allow list.
- New living mob types are allowed by default unless excluded; players remain excluded.
- Added optional update notices for the console and server operators.
- Prevented container loss when inventory serialization fails.
- Kept separate Paper and Spigot artifact names.
