Changes
Release 2.1.0
- ChallengeX runs on Paper now, as well as Fabric. Same engine, same presets, same commands: a challenge built for one plays on the other unchanged. Built against Paper 26.2.
- Both builds ship the whole catalog: 44 triggers, 38 effects, 19 modifiers, with one exception. The shared inventory is Fabric-only, because Bukkit gives no way to point several players at one inventory and the alternative copies them between players every tick, which is how items get duplicated and lost. The shared health bar, hunger bar and experience pool work on both.
- The builder marks anything that will not run on the platform you pick, and importing a preset that uses a missing piece will name it.
- Four fixes:
- A shared health, hunger or experience bar regenerated faster the more players shared it. It moves at one player's rate now, however many are in the pool.
- Emptying a shared health bar left the survivors standing. A death ends the run for everyone in the pool now.
- Rolled randomizer seeds were kept for the life of the server, holding on to every challenge ever imported. Swapping in a new challenge drops them.
- An unknown time or status-effect id in a preset was reported every tick, filling a server log at twenty lines a second. Each distinct bad value reports once now.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
