Chao Garden Mod 1.0.8
A safer, quieter Chao Garden. Every island now really is your own, far from anyone else's.
🏝️ Your island, far from everyone
- Only players' islands exist now. The Chao Garden used to have an island, with two eggs on its beach, every few hundred blocks, so a short boat ride reached free eggs on the next island over. Now the only islands are the ones that belong to players, and the rest is open ocean.
- New islands are insanely far apart. A new player's island is placed at least 100,000 blocks from every other island, so nobody can just sail over and take your eggs.
- Still one island per player. Each player's island is saved, so two players can never end up sharing one.
- Existing islands stay put. If you already have an island, it stays exactly where it is, with everything you've built.
🐄 Mobs through the portal
- A mob or item that goes through a Chao Garden portal now goes to the island of the last player who used that portal.
- If no player has ever been through that portal, it disappears instead of getting an island of its own.
- A Chao going through on its own still goes to its owner's island.
🚫 No wild Pokémon (Cobblemon)
- If you play with Cobblemon, wild Pokémon no longer spawn in the Chao Garden or the Chao Stadium. The islands and race tracks belong to the Chao.
- You can still send out your own Pokémon there, and fishing and Poké Snacks still work.
- Works with Cobblemon 1.6 and 1.7. Cobblemon is still optional.
Requirements
Fabric Loader, Fabric API and GeckoLib.
⚠️ On an existing world, islands in areas you've already explored stay as they are. The change applies to new areas of the ocean.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
