Changes
Sulfur Cubes Mod - v1.6-SNAPSHOT
This update focuses on visual fidelity and a complete overhaul of the entity spawning system to ensure Sulfur Cubes inhabit their intended biomes.
π¨ Visual Overhaul
- Modified Model: The Sulfur Cube model has been completely rebuilt for better geometry and smoother animations.
- New Texture: Replaced the old placeholder/base textures with a custom, high-detail skin to match the Sulfur Caves' atmosphere.
π Natural Spawning (Refactored)
- Underground Logic Fixed: Resolved a major issue where Sulfur Cubes would not spawn underground.
- Changed
MobCategoryfromCREATUREtoAMBIENT. - This allows the engine to skip the "Sunlight & Grass" requirements.
- Changed
- Group Scaling: Now spawns in groups of 1 to 4 per successful spawn attempt.
- Placement Requirements: Cubes now strictly spawn on
SULFUR_BLOCKsurfaces within their native biome.
π Developer & Source Changes
- Registry Fixes: Updated
SpawnPlacementsto useHeightmap.Types.MOTION_BLOCKING, allowing the spawn cycle to correctly find cave floors instead of world-height surfaces. - Block Properties: Explicitly added
.isValidSpawn()to the Sulfur Block properties to override restrictions. - Build System Fix: Fixed a bug in the Gradle/CI pipeline where specific
.jarfiles (sources/shadow) were not being uploaded to the distribution point.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
