π Chaos Cubed Content v1.0-SNAPSHOT
β¨ Added
- π₯ Sulfur Spikes: Added a new block type that deals spike damage, fitting the mod's environmental theme.
- π¨ Dynamic Block Textures: The Sulfur Cube now dynamically pulls block textures directly from the game itself. No manual textures are needed in the mod files anymore.
- π Data-Driven Archetypes: All archetypes are now handled entirely via
*.jsonfiles. Players can create a datapack using a vanilla-style structure to customize modifiers, add custom blocks (like stairs, slabs, or modded blocks), or change eatable tags. The basic template is available in the Chaos Cubed Content Repository. - πͺ£ Sulfur Cube Bucket: Added the ability to pick up a Sulfur Cube with a bucket. Includes complete NBT serialization and deserialization to perfectly retain size, health, variants, and attributes when deployed.
π Changed & Overhauled
- πΎ Rewritten Sulfur Cube Entity: Cleaned and optimized the core entity codebase for 1.21.11. Combined vanilla equipment checks with custom parameterized logic loops (
detectEquipmentUpdates) and restored proper field tracking for local knockback equations (dealDefaultKnockback). - π¦ Overhauled Renderer: Rewrote the rendering pipeline to ensure accurate rendering of all sizes, states, and variants without visual errors.
β οΈ Work-In-Progress (WIP)
- 𧱠Partial Physics Implementation: Core movement loops are functional, but signature entity bouncing parameters are currently offline.
- π§ Archetype Interaction Modifiers: Custom surface interactions (such as sliding flawlessly on ice or landing heavily without bouncing on metal blocks) are temporarily disabled and defaulting to base values while physics integrations are being completed.
πΊοΈ Planned for Next Update
- π³οΈ World Generation (Sulfur Caves): Natural underground generation for dedicated cave structures containing wild Sulfur Cubes and Sulfur Spikes.
- πͺ Physics Engine Completion: Finalizing the
travel()loop injection points to restore accurate bouncing, sliding, and surface friction calculations.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
