Changelog
With the revelation of cherry blossom biomes for vanilla Minecraft 1.20, I'm expanding the mod to include some more biomes that I have been toying around with. These "beta" biomes will be placed here before the mod is sunsetted in v1.20 of vanilla and I break off worthwhile features into a new mod to take the place of this one.
Changes include:
New maple tree. This tree has red leaves and generates leaf piles underneath leaf blocks similar to how the mod's cherry blossom petal piles would form. There are new particle effects for this feature. These trees spawn like fancy oaks in vanilla.
New maple woods biome. This biome spawns maple trees
New oak & maple forest biome. This biome spawns a mix of oak and maple trees
New maple wood blocks. With the introduction of the new tree type that means the following
An entire new wood type for maple wood blocks
Maple logs and wood can be crafted into maple planks
Maple planks can be crafted into all expected wooden plank blocks, items and entities. Including building blocks like stairs, and slabs, and entities like boats and signs.
Maple saplings which can also be potted
Refactor to cherry blossom content for better code organization
Maple leaf items can be picked up by harvesting maple leaf piles and used to craft red dye
Fixes an issue with cherry blossom grotto village generation that caused less buildings to generate along streets than in a vanilla village.
Reduced the weight of the modded region, meaning it should spawn a bit less to increase its scarcity.
Added some basic configurations to the mod, so users can toggle some settings
Updated the texture for the cherry blossom sapling
