📦 ChestLogger (Paper Plugin) v2.6.4
Notice for Paper Server Owners Upgrading from v2.1.0:
This release brings a massive cumulative upgrade containing major security systems, full in-game graphical menus, item provenance tracking, and double chest parity. Your existing.clogbinary logs and configuration files remain 100% backward compatible.
🌟 Major New Systems & Features (Since v2.1.0)
🛡️ Smart Theft & Raid Detection Engine
- Context-Aware Presence Heuristics: Sub-20ms theft analysis that distinguishes legitimate cooperative teamwork from malicious looting. Detects 🔴 Offline Theft, 🟡 Absent Owner Looting, and automatically suppresses false alarms during 🟢 Consensual Proximity (owner nearby).
- Sliding-Window Raid Velocity Tracking: Detects multi-container looting bursts across distinct coordinates within a 300s configurable window, triggering
CRITICAL_RAIDalerts. - Directional Player Trust System: Added
/chestlog trust <player>,/chestlog untrust <player>, and/chestlog trustlist. Trusted teammates can share containers freely without triggering alarms. - Wilderness & Natural Container Classification: World-gen containers (dungeons, mineshafts, shipwrecks) default to
UNCLAIMED_NATURAL, eliminating alert spam when exploring.
🔐 Container Claiming & Anti-Sniping Protection
- Single & Mass Claiming: Players can claim single containers with
/chestlog claimor claim an entire cluster within an area using/chestlog claim [radius](up to 16 blocks). - Anti-Sniping History Defense: Prevents players from claiming containers they did not place if recent audit history shows prior ownership or placement by someone else.
- Claim Transfers: Transfer container ownership smoothly using
/chestlog transfer <newOwner>. - Third-Party Claim Protection Hook: Native compatibility hooks for land-claim protection plugins.
🔍 Item Provenance & Chain-of-Custody Engine
- Full Item Lifecycle Tracing: Reconstruct the complete custody journey of the item held in your main hand (
/chestlog trace [hand]) or at a specific container slot (/chestlog trace <X> <Y> <Z> [slot]). - Cycle-Safe DAG Traversal: Traces items across player trades, container deposits, withdrawals, and hopper automation.
- 64-Bit Component Fingerprinting: Accurately follows custom-enchanted, renamed, or modified items.
- In-Game Provenance GUI: View item history graphs directly in-game using an interactive 54-slot visual menu.
🖥️ In-Game Graphical Menus (Paper GUI Parity)
- 54-Slot Transaction History GUI: Right-click containers with the inspect wand (
/chestlog wand//chestlog i) or use/chestlog inspectto browse transaction history page-by-page. - In-Game Configuration Screen (
/chestlog config): Manage alert cooldowns, owner proximity ranges, Discord webhooks, and dashboard ports inside an interactive Bukkit GUI with in-game chat prompt inputs and instant hot-reloading (zero server restarts required).
🔔 Multi-Channel Alerting & Discord Rich Embeds
- In-Game Admin HUD: Real-time Action-Bar warnings and interactive chat alert cards with clickable
[Teleport]and[Inspect]buttons. - Discord Security Webhooks: Asynchronous alerts sending rich embeds detailing the incident type, coordinates, items taken, and player presence states.
🛠️ Fixes, Performance & Stability Improvements
- Double Chest (54-Slot) Parity: Full coordinate tracking across both halves of linked double chests (
DoubleChestInventory), logging all slots 0–53 accurately. - Inspection "Air" Display Bug Fix: Resolved an issue where empty slots or double chest slot boundaries could inadvertently render as "Air" placeholders in query logs.
- Rollback Chunk Persistence: Ensured
container.update(true, true)writes directly to chunk storage on the main thread during rollbacks, preventing changes from reverting if the server restarts unexpectedly. - Pure Bukkit Architecture (Zero NMS): Built strictly against public Paper/Bukkit APIs with zero internal
net.minecraft.serverimports, ensuring maximum forward stability across server updates. - Permission Segregation: Cleanly separated player permissions from administrative commands:
chestlogger.trust(Player trust commands)chestlogger.claim(Container claiming)chestlogger.trace(Item provenance lookup)chestlogger.inspect(Container inspection & wand)chestlogger.rollback(Non-destructive rollback execution)chestlogger.admin(In-game config GUI & administrative controls)chestlogger.stats&chestlogger.web(Telemetry & web dashboard)
- Command Help & Tab-Completion: Added permission-aware
/chestlog helpand full Bukkit tab-completion for all subcommands.
📋 Requirements & Compatibility

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
