Changes
📦 ChestLogger v2.7.0 (Fabric)
🌟 Highlights
- Multi-Version Support: First-class release support for both Minecraft 26.3 and Minecraft 26.2.
- Client Search Input Restored: Fixed text box focus and typing in the in-game GUI filter search bar on 26.3.
- Double Chest Logging Overhaul: Eliminated transaction duplication and unified inspection history across double chest halves.
🚀 What's New & Changed in Fabric
1. Minecraft 26.3 & 26.2 Dual Artifacts
We now provide dedicated SemVer 2.0 build-metadata JARs for Fabric:
chestlogger-fabric-2.7.0+26.3.jar— For Minecraft 26.3 (Fabric Loader $\ge$ 0.19.5, Fabric API0.161.0+26.3)chestlogger-fabric-2.7.0+26.2.jar— For Minecraft 26.2 (Fabric Loader $\ge$ 0.19.3, Fabric API0.157.0+26.2)
2. Client GUI Search Bar Input Fixed (26.3)
- Resolved Issue: In Minecraft 26.3, players could open the ChestLogger GUI (
/chestlogor right-clicking with the inspection wand) but were unable to click or type into the item/player filter search bar. - Fix: Overhauled keyboard routing, focus management, and char-typed event propagation in
ChestLogScreenandChestLogFilterWidgetto conform with 26.3's client input architecture.
3. Double Chest Transaction Deduplication
- Resolved Issue: Moving, placing, or shift-clicking items inside a 54-slot double chest previously logged duplicate transactions across both block entities.
- Fix: Implemented half-coordinate delta partitioning in
ContainerTracker,AbstractContainerMenuMixin, andHopperBlockEntityMixin. Slots0–26are attributed strictly to the primary chest, while slots27–53are attributed to the connected partner block.
4. Unified Historical Log Merging
- Resolved Issue: Inspecting a double chest only showed logs for the specific half that was clicked, leaving older history fragmented if chests were joined or separated.
- Fix: Inspection tools (Wand,
/chestlog inspect, and GUI) now automatically detect connected double chest partners and query both coordinates simultaneously, presenting a unified, chronological audit log.
📋 Requirements & Upgrading
- Java: Java 25 JRE/JDK required.
- Fabric API & Fabric Loader: Matching your Minecraft version (26.2).
- In-Place Upgrade: 100% backward compatible with existing
v2.6.x.cloglogs and index checkpoints. No data wipe required.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
