Changes
Added
- Added configurable horizon-colored fog with:
- “Match Fog to Horizon” toggle
- Adjustable fog and sky matching strength
- Smoother distant-terrain fading
- Added a configurable detailed cloud radius. Clouds beyond this radius use cheaper simplified geometry.
- Shader packs aren't fully supported. Most probably won't work as intended.
- Added shader-pack compatibility profiles for:
- Complementary Unbound
- Rethinking Voxels
- Insanity
- MakeUp Ultra Fast
- Mellow
- Added optional warnings for incompatible and unknown shader packs.
- Added specialized warnings when shaders and Distant Horizons are used together.
Improved
- Milky Way rendering now uses a precomputed lookup texture.
- Aurora rendering now uses precomputed noise sampling.
- End sky rendering now uses precomputed noise while retaining Low, Balanced, and High quality settings.
- Optimized sun and cloud occlusion.
- Cached cloud shader uniforms per frame to reduce rendering overhead.
- Large cloud render distances now use substantially less detailed geometry outside the configured radius.
Fixed
- Fixed star-field rotation so stars follow time of day correctly.
- Fixed aurora animation, biome blending, and night variation behaviour during smooth or abrupt time transitions.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
