Clay Warfare

Clay Warfare is a datapack that adds craftable tiny little soldiers to your world, where soldiers of opposing colors will fight against each other. It is a reimagining of the original, classic Clay Soldiers mod, but in datapack form! There are 5 different soldiers you can craft, a clay remote (for clearing out clay soldiers quickly), and different buffs and equipment you can give your soldiers to make them stronger and make fights more interesting. There is even a brand new buff that wasn't part of the original mod: the Juggernaut buff.

Clay Soldiers Added

There are 5 different colors available:

• Default soldiers (Grey)
• Blue soldiers
• Red soldiers
• Yellow soldiers
• White soldiers

Buffs and Equipment

You can upgrade your soldiers by throwing certain items near them, which they will pick up. Below shows a list of the different buffs you can give them:

Gear

You can give your soldiers different gear to increase their stats:

• Sticks: A weapon that increases attack damage
• Copper and Iron Nuggets: Gives them a little helmet for better protection
• Leather, Copper, and Iron Ingots: Gives them little chestplates for increased protection

Buffs

You can throw different items at soldiers to give them certain buffs to make fights more interesting:

• Sugar: Gives permanent Speed boost
• Chicken: Increases maximum health
• Porkchops: Fully heals soldiers in most cases
• Lapis Lazuli: Increases attack damage
• Slime Ball: Allows soldiers to "slime" opponents to the ground, preventing them from moving
• Gunpowder: Soldiers will explode on death and kill nearby rival soldiers
• UNIQUE TO CLAY WARFARE - Amethyst Shard: Turns the soldier into a Juggernaut
  • Juggernauts are twice the size of regular soldiers, have higher HP, and increased strength
  • However, they are slower and can't receive certain buffs like regular soldiers can
  • Feeding them more amethyst shards will continuely increase their maximum HP and heal them up

Clay Remote

The Clay Remote can be crafted and used to destroy all soldiers within a 30 block radius of the player, allowing for easier and simpler clean up.

Guide Book

All players will spawn with a guidebook that gives a detailed description of everything Clay Warfare adds. If the player loses it or wants to craft a new one, they can simply craft one using a book and clay ball in the invetory crafting or a crafting table.

IMPORTANT NOTE On Community Content

Reuse of the datapack in community projects is completely fine. You can modify the datapack to add more soldiers, buffs, etc. You can even create custom maps with the datapack preinstalled. However make sure that you follow these rules:

• On your project page, make sure to credit Shark Wing Studio with a link to either the project page or Modrinth user page for wooden_shovel
• DO NOT ALTER OR REMOVE the built in welcome message from the datapack. You can add your own welcome message, but the original message that was made inside the datapack should remain as is.
• Do not reupload the standalone datapack and resourcepack to other platforms claiming it to be your creation. If you want to share the datapack, simply link to the Modrinth page. This does not apply to community projects such as custom maps that include Clay Warfare. That is allowed as long as the points above are also followed
