Initial release of Cobblemon Catch Ball Rules for Fabric 1.21.1.
Added
- Configurable catch restrictions by Pokemon species and allowed Poke Balls.
- JSON-based config file that can be edited without recompiling the mod.
- Styled warning messages for blocked captures, including Minecraft formatting codes.
- Config reload command so changes can be applied without restarting the server.
- Support for dedicated servers, LAN worlds, and singleplayer worlds.
Behavior
- If a restricted Pokemon is targeted with the wrong ball, the catch is blocked.
- If the correct ball is used, the catch continues with Cobblemon's normal behavior.
- If a Pokemon has no rule, it behaves normally.
- Blocked captures can optionally refund the ball, depending on config.
- Battle use is handled so a blocked ball warns the player without wasting the turn.
Notes
- Recommended for servers, modpacks, and adventure-style Cobblemon worlds that want custom catch rules.
- The mod automatically creates its config file on first launch.
