# Fossils Minus ☄️☠️ – Controlled Fossil Restoration for Cobblemon Fossils Minus is a modular datapack + resource pack suite that restricts [Cobblemon Fossils Plus ✨🦖's](https://modrinth.com/mod/cobblemon-fossils-plus) special fossil restoration mechanic to species already supported for revival by the restoration machine. # ✴️ About this datapack FossilsPlus normally allows its special fossils (Shiny, HA, IV, Perfect) to generate any Pokémon species present in the game, including stage 1 and 2 Pokémon. Fossils Minus restricts those modifiers so they only work when combined with valid fossil ingredients for thematic consistency. All supported recipes give stage 0 Pokémon. ## ➕ What this pack adds This project adds over 100 targeted fossil restoration recipes (104–105, depending on ATM x MSD version) while preserving proper restoration tank visuals. It features; 🎯 Support for all base fossil Pokémon found in Cobblemon 🧬 Fully compatible with [Complete Galar Fossilmon](https://modrinth.com/datapack/complete-galar-fossilmon) (Note; uses the new version that replaces Dracodacentro with Dracocerato 💥 Compatible with [ATM x MSD's](https://modrinth.com/datapack/allthemons-x-mega-showdown-legacy) legendary recipes 🏛 Optionally compatible with [Legendary Monuments'](https://modrinth.com/mod/legendary-monuments) Tuft of Mew Hair 📚 Compatible with [Lost Lore's](https://modrinth.com/datapack/poketwo) clone species 👁 Visually seamless with correct fetus display models where supported ## 🎁 Included Modifier Types For every supported fossil species, the following variants are added: ✨ Shiny Fossil 🌟 Hidden Ability Fossil 📈 Perfect IV Fossil 💎 Perfect Fossil (Shiny + 6×31 IVs)

🚫 Standalone use of special fossils is disabled.

Though still possible through combining the special fossil with a 🚫 barrier block 🚫

# 👾 Compatible Pokemon Over 100 Recipes Added Depending on which optional packs are enabled, this suite adds special fossil support for:

Core Fossil Pokémon

- Omanyte - Kabutops - Aerodactyl - Lileep - Anorith - Cranidos - Shieldon - Tirtouga - Archen - Tyrunt - Amaura - Dracozolt - Dracovish - Arctozolt - Arctovish

Complete Galar Fossilmon

- Raptorzolt - Dracocerato - Dunkleovish - Arctoplesio ⚠️ If you wish to use Dracodacentro, you'll have to replace the Dracocerato jsons manually. I may add a version to support this in a future update if enough people request it.

ATM x MSD Pokémon

- Mewtwo - Genesect - Type:Null

Lost Lore clone starters

- Bulbasaurtwo - Charmandertwo - Squirtletwo

Each special fossil modifier × species combination has its own targeted recipe that can be modified as you please. Note: This pack does not add any new Pokémon, just its restoration recipes; to use an addon pack, you should install the corresponding mod that adds support for that Pokémon as well. ## 🦠 Correct Fetus Display Models Using the included resource packs, the correct Pokémon fetus grows in the restoration tank for every supported recipe. ![A slumbering Aerodactyl!](https://cdn.modrinth.com/data/cached_images/10bd38cf24477761c59965bc2cd58a151d3054c0.png)

## ⚠️ Hidden Ability Notes Some Pokémon do not have hidden abilities defined. The following species currently, by default, do not have hidden abilities: - Archen - Genesect - Type:Null Hidden Ability recipes are still included for these Pokémon via: - fp_ha_archen.json - addon_ha_genesect.json - addon_ha_typenull.json These recipes exist to support custom server-side hidden ability additions and modded ability expansions. If your server does not use custom hidden abilities, these files can be safely removed. Removing them will prevent the Hidden Ability Fossil from being used to revive those Pokémon, so that nobody wastes a Hidden Ability Fossil unnecessarily. # ⚙️ Technical details This release is structured as modular packs: ## 🗃️ Required - Core Datapack - Core Fetus Resource Pack ## 🚥 Optional Addons - Complete Galar Fossilmon - ATM x MSD (Vanilla version) - ATM x MSD (LegendaryMonuments version) - Lost Lore You can enable only the integrations you use. Using addon packs that add recipes for Pokémon not present in your game may crash the game ### 🏯 Legendary Monuments Support An alternate ATM x MSD pack is included, where Mewtwo's resurrection requires: - Nether Star - Tuft of Mew Hair (LegendaryMonuments) This overrides the Psychic Gem recipe when enabled for both the default recipe, and any fossils plus recipes. This feature was present in previous LM versions of ATM x MSD but has since been removed. # 🖥️ Installation Extract the main download. Place desired datapack zip(s) into: world/datapacks/ Place the desired resource pack zip(s) into: client resourcepacks folder or host as server resource pack Run: /reload ⚠️ Do not unzip the inner zip files. ## 🔧 Advanced: Combining Packs Into One If you prefer a single unified datapack and/or resource pack instead of modular zips, you can merge them manually. ### Combining Datapacks If you wish to combine these packs into one for cleaner organisation; Unzip the datapacks you want to combine. Merge their data/ folders together. Keep only one pack.mcmeta at the root. Re-zip the folder (do not nest folders). Final structure should look like: ``` UnifiedPack.zip ├── pack.mcmeta └── data/ └── cobblemon/ └── fossils/ ``` ⚠️ Important: If combining ATM x MSD variants, choose EITHER the Vanilla or LegendaryMonuments version — not both. ### Combining Resource Packs Unzip the resource packs you want to merge. Merge their assets/ folders together. Keep only one pack.mcmeta. Re-zip the folder. Final structure: ``` UnifiedResourcePack.zip ├── pack.mcmeta └── assets/ └── cobblemon/ └── bedrock/ ``` ## 🌐 Compatibility Minecraft 1.21.1 [Cobblemon 1.7.3+](https://modrinth.com/mod/cobblemon) [Cobblemon FossilsPlus](https://modrinth.com/mod/cobblemon-fossils-plus) Optional: [Complete Galar Fossilmon](https://modrinth.com/datapack/complete-galar-fossilmon) V 1.3+ Optional: [ATM x MSD](https://modrinth.com/datapack/allthemons-x-mega-showdown-legacy) Optional: [LegendaryMonuments](https://modrinth.com/mod/legendary-monuments) Optional: [Lost Lore](https://modrinth.com/datapack/poketwo) 2.0/1.8 # 🤞 Future Plans 1.
