Hey everyone! The long anticipated Cobblemon Stellar Blue v.1.5 update, compatible with Cobblemon 1.8 is finally here! In the spotlight of this update we have new marine monsters such as Leefleece and Sailin, but also more ordinary new Pokémon such as the regional bird Chirpity!
The team and I worked super hard to make this update as exciting as possible and I hope you'll enjoy all of the new features we added.
Here is everything new:
New Pokémon:
- Chirpity, Chirpeck & Emperoost [Flying/Normal > Flying/Fighting]
- Leefleece [Water/Grass]
- Coropple [Grass/Poison]
- Baitin & Sailin [Water/Steel]
- Spudlett & Spudtrio [Grass]
- Aeoleon [Flying]
- Hummoth [Flying/Bug]
New Special Pokémon:
- Radiant Eevee [Normal] (Deviant)
- Stellysium [Normal/Dragon] (Legendary) (unobtainable without cheats)
- Minursa [Fairy/Ice] (Mythical)
New Mounts:
- Emperoost (Ground/Air)
- Sailin (Water)
- Stellysium (Ground/Air)
New Abilities:
- Photosynthesis: "The Pokémon gradually regains HP in harsh sunlight."
- Aether Aspect: "When this Pokémon's HP fall below 50%, a primordial power awakens and its Normal-type attacks will always deal super-effective damage."
- Draconic Force: "Powers up ally Pokémon's Dragon-type moves."
- Soul Stealer: "Boosts its Attack stat every time a Pokémon faints."
- Dragonslayer: "Halves damage taken from Dragon-type Pokémon."
- Transmutation: "Normal-type moves become Psychic-type moves. The power of those moves is boosted a little." (unused as of now)
New Moves: (★ = signature move)
- Midas Touch ★
- Core Crusher ★
- Frolick
- Aqua Punch
- Star Flurry ★
- Purifying Light ★
- Breezy Breeze ★
New Shoulder Mounts:
- Quantom
- Liwyrm
- Fropple
- Hummoth
- Minursa
New Cosmetics:
- Fluffle (Carpets, Wool Blocks Wave 1, (more to come soon) + 2 secret cosmetics)
- Butter Dog Woofloo & Dubfool (Gold Ingot)
Misc:
- removed Marill line remodels. (If the demand is high, I will publish it in a separate resource pack)
- every Pokémon has locators and alpha eyes now
- Mounts seat locators can be used again
- spawn rates have been adjusted to 1.8's standard
- fixed a bug of Evoboost particles perpetually overloading and crashing the game
- overhauled most if not all textures of pre-existing Mons
- models using panes have been updated so their textures don't glitch out when viewed from larger distance
- updated a lot of move and dex descriptions
- certain advancements have been updated
- added Eevolution Master advancement, which is required to evolve Radiant Eevee into Neuveon
- added battle-able NPCs of the dev team, that can be summoned via command
Balance Changes:
- overhauled TM lists of ALL of the Lumora Pokémon
- Wyrmend: Addition of Sludge Bomb, significant loss of speed for defenses and SpAtk. It was able to outspeed everything after one Quiver Dance or sweep with specs, which made it very unfun to deal with. Lowering its Speed made it much more controllable
- Phantasmau: Lost Last Respects, stats were nerfed to be more like a Route 1 mammal. It did way too much damage upon crit and was able to hit hard without much of a drawback.
- Luminarity: Lost Moonblast, Singularity nerfed (BP 120 > 100, Acc 100% > 95%, drops SpAtk -2 after usage). Luminarity was able to destroy everything in its path without any drawback whatsoever. Singularity was too good of a move.
- Jackalune: Gained Rage Powder and Dust Devil. Lost Shield Dust for Sand Veil (which honestly was just a flavor choice). Not significant of a buff, but it gets a few more moves to have some versatility in its offensive support playstyle.
- Griffaera: Lost a lot of coverage. For being so fast with an unpredictable coverage move set it was able to rupture a lot of teams after one Tailwind. Narrowing its move pool down makes it easier to deal with.
- Bootoo: Banshee Scream can now paralyze. With this change I'm hoping for this support Mon to gain a little more viability by bringing upon an interesting way of speed control.
- Amfrosia: Entire overhaul. New abilities, move pool and new signatures. Amfrosia was heavily underperforming for being a highly popular Mon with a special and costly obtainment method. It is now much bulkier, hits harder for the cost of its speed. With the new Dragonslayer ability and access to Ice Hammer, it can now provide proper counterplay against Dragon-type Pokémon, like how it was intended to.
- Neuveon: Stat and movepool overhaul. Lost Moonblast and Recover, gained Life Dew and Wish. Its stats were way too unbalanced. After one Evoboost it became unstoppable with instant healing options.
That's everything! See you again next time!
