🔥 Black Market System Added A brand‑new Black Market system has been introduced, allowing players to sell and buy items directly inside the economy. This update brings multiple new mechanics and expands the core gameplay loop of the mod.
✨ New Features
- Item‑Based Selling Modes Players can now choose how each item should be listed:
Fixed Price Mode — the seller sets a static price
Auction Mode — the seller defines a starting price and duration, and players can bid on the item
This choice is made per item, giving players full control over how they want to sell their goods.
- Auction System Auctions now support:
Starting price
Auction duration
Live bidding
Automatic coin locking
Refunds for outbid players
Automatic winner selection when the timer ends
Automatic item delivery to the highest bidder
Automatic coin transfer to the seller
If no bids are placed, the item is returned to the seller.
- Custom Price Input (Anvil Input) When listing an item with a fixed price, players can:
Use a suggested price
Or enter their own custom price via an Anvil input screen
This allows precise pricing without complicated menus.
- Reclaiming Listed Items Sellers can now reclaim their own items from the Black Market.
Reclaiming costs a configurable fee (percentage of the original price)
If the seller cannot afford the fee, the reclaim is denied
Items are safely returned to the seller’s inventory
This prevents abuse while still giving players flexibility.
- Admin Fee Configuration A new admin command has been added:
Code /blackmarket setfee <percentage> This allows server owners to define how expensive reclaiming should be. The fee is saved in the Black Market config and persists across restarts.
- Full Persistence System The entire Black Market is now saved and loaded automatically:
All listed items
Auction data
Bids
Sellers
Reclaim fee
Auction timers
Everything is stored in a JSON file inside the mod’s config directory.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
