Compatible Mace Enchantments

Description

This data pack makes Bane of Arthropods, Breach, Density, and Smite enchantments all compatible with each other, allowing for a Maxed Mace. Anvil prior work penalties apply as usual.

Installation Guide

1. Download the Data Pack .zip file.
2. Open Minecraft or exit the world if it's open.
3. Click on the world you wish to add this Data Pack to once.
4. Click "Edit".
5. Click "Open World Folder".
6. Open the folder labeled "datapacks".
7. Open your Downloads folder.
8. Find and either drag or copy the .zip file from Downloads into datapacks.

Enchanting Guide

If your goal is to obtain a truly Maxed Mace in Survival, you might've thought of using an enchantment order calculator like https://iamcal.github.io/enchant-order/ (usually goated), but these sites usually either don't allow combining traditionally incompatible enchantments, are confusing to use or, worst of all, don't account for the specific level of the books you have available. This last point is crucial because obtaining Wind Burst II or III books directly from Ominous Vaults is actually impossible in vanilla survival Minecraft, only Wind Burst I books are in the loot pool with a 5.5% chance of dropping, rarer than the Heavy Core itself (7.5%). This means you are forced to combine four level 1 books in order to get the maximum level of Wind Burst III on your Mace, which increases the previous work penalty and takes the final combination from costing 17 all the way up to 41 XP levels, and any combination above 39 levels is automatically labeled as "Too Expensive!" in survival mode.

However, after some experimenting I found an order of combinations that will allow you to obtain a Mace with every enchantment at its maximum level even while using this Data Pack. Mine might not be the optimal order, so if you find a way that uses less XP feel free to let me know at vexercore@gmail.com and I'll test it, add it here and credit you unless you explicitly ask me not to. Keep in mind every book apart from Wind Burst hasn't been combined before to avoid Prior Work Penalty, so using combined books will result in higher XP requirements or even the "Too Expensive!" message to ruin your day, which wouldn't be fun considering you'll need to loot an average of 50+ Ominous Vaults to get all four books. You should already know librarians are the best way to get loads of already maxed Enchanted Books. Here it is:
