Create Aeronautics: AaA's Compact Gearshift

New look

• The Smart Gearshift got a complete visual overhaul: it now looks like a motor-driven gearbox with bearing shields, cooling fins and a brass clamp strap.
• The shafts actually spin now. The output shaft visibly turns at the selected ratio: faster, slower or reversed.
• Working shift lever on top: the lever moves through the H-gate to show the engaged gear (N, 1–5, R). Gears above 5 stay on position 5, and every reverse gear shows as R.
• Redstone arrows: while direct-redstone shifting is enabled, the sides show arrows. Right = shift up, left = shift down.
• Glowing arrows: an arrow lights up bright red while its side receives a redstone signal, and it glows in the dark too.

Redesigned GUI

• New dark, flat interface with a large gear display, the current ratio and live input/output RPM.
• A clickable gear strip lets you jump straight to any gear.
• Slide-out side panels:
  • Left: redstone link frequencies and the direct-redstone toggle.
  • Right: gear ratio editor, with reverse on the left and forward on the right, matching the gear strip.
• Your player inventory is now shown in the GUI.
• Link frequencies: click a frequency slot with any item to set it (the item is not consumed), or drag one in from JEI. Click with an empty hand to clear it.
• Ratio editing: changes save automatically, so the Apply button is gone. Click a gear number to engage that gear.
• The GUI always stays fully on screen, at any GUI scale. JEI's item list moves out of the way of the side panels.
• Typing in a ratio field no longer closes the GUI by accident.

Changes

• New blocks now start with a single reverse gear (×0.5) instead of five.
• The block model no longer has holes. Neighbouring blocks render correctly next to it.

Compatibility

• Requires NeoForge 1.21.1 and Create 6.0.10+.
• JEI is optional.
• Works on Sable / Create Aeronautics sub-levels.

Note for 2.0.x worlds: existing Smart Gearshifts keep their saved gear setup. The new default only applies to newly placed blocks.
