BETA 2.0.0-Beta-1 Changelog - The AUTOMATION Update
Fixes and Changes
-
Advanced Contraption Controller: - AddedSCM Graphwhen on top of aShip Control Module. - AddedSchedule Graphwhen a valid pilot is present. - Added3D View Block/Face pickerto theGet DataandSet Datanodes when theACCis on a sub-level. - AddedShift Grid Snappingto align nodes to a grid while holding shift and moving them. - Overhauled the look of the nodes. - Removed theConfigSidebar. - MovedVariableslist to the bottom of theNode Libraryside bar. - AddedWorker Graphwhen aWorker Podis adjacent or linked with theContraption Network Linkerfor automation using mannequins. - AddedTheme Editor. -Get/Set Datanodes now support multiple targets in a single node, with port grouping forLike Portsthat match so you can now finally have a single node to controll 100 thrusters all at once, or whatever. -
SCM Graph- Added 3D view and block/face picker to directly assign SCM control groups. - Explicit control groups to tell the SCM which blocks are responsible for which actions. - Dedicated ship modes forAirship,Plane,Ground/Sea. - Dedicated steering modes for better support. -
Contraption Network Linker: - RemovedBlockmode, only face mode remains as block mode was limited and less capable. Builds using block mode aren't affected and will continue to work. -
Ship Control Module: - Now supportsAir Ships,Cars,Tanks,Boats(Airplanescoming soon). - No longer requires a longInitializationprocess, and theInitializenode has been removed. - Now uses a live PID system for maximum compatability. - No longer auto detects and maps, opting instead for explicit setup using the newSCM Graphwith the option to auto assign propulsion blocks to theAutogroup. -
Smart Tablet Apps: -Digisable: - Allows storing and placing sub-levels. - Can be used to locate, teleport to and delete sub-levels for cleanup (requires Operator) -Manifest: - Acts as a digitalShipping Manifest. -Blockmates (WIP): - Request items and crafts from workers. Workers will use your real machines to craft items and deliver them to you. - Use theContraption Network LinkerinWorkermode (formerly SCM mode) to add machines to the worker network. - You can assign mutli step/sequenced crafting machines (Like Deployer chains) using theAreamode. - You can define places the worker is not allowed to go using theNo Entrymode. -
Other- UpdatedION Thrusterblock model. - UpdatedJoystickblock model. - UpdatedVector Bearingblock model. - UpdatedJoystickcrafting recipe. - Added theWorker Graphto anAdvanced Contraption Controllerwhen aWorker Podis attached. - Added mannequin workers that use live pathfinding to move items, fluids, FE, and fuel between smart storage, Ship Docks, and manifested standard storage. - Added supporter mannequins forWaniiii_andZelaux_. - Redesigned theContraption Network Linkeritem. - UpdatedThrusterplume with a newSoft Particlerenderer. -Thruster Plumesnow use aMetaballrenderer. -SCMcontrol moved from slow crawl + map to live PD + LQR for faster initialization and better stability. Old crawl and map logic still exists for blocks assigned to theAutogroup. -Seasonal EffectstoThruster Plumes.OnlyPride Monthadded which gives all plumes a rainbow effect, effect can be changed in the config. -
Schedule Graph (WIP) - Not complete: - Uses aScratch Blockinterface for creating and modifying schedules - Not functional yet. - Right hand side bar lets you calculate a set route for the schedule. - When a pre-calculated route exists you can turn on the route spline renderer and modify the shape using a wrench: - Right click and drag an anchor point to move it. - Sprint + right click to add an anchor point. - Sneak + Right click to delete an anchor point. -
New Blocks & Items-Ratchet Cogwheel: - Transfers rotation only in one direction, free-spins in the other -Worker Pod: - Place aSupporter Mannequininside it to assign it to the adjacentAdvanced Contraption Controller- Use theContraption Network LinkerinWorkermode (Green) to assign containers, crafters, and other automation machines to theWorker Graphto allowWorkersto interface with and use them. - Most containers require aShipping Manifestto be placed on them to tell theWorkerwhat it contains. -Smart Tank/Vault/Battery: - Bigger capacity versions of the create vault and fluid tank. - Do not require aShipping Manifest. -Smart Batterycan store up to 5GFE at max size. -Blackstone Casing-Pilot Cap: - Functions asSmart Glasseswhen worn - Provides lether tier protection. -
Updated block models: -Vector Thruster-FE Thruster-Analogue Joystick-Small Thruster -
Worker Mechanics: - Workers use a custom pathfinder and machine identification to figure out where to go and how to use machines. - Workers support most modded machines. - Workers have an internal 27 slot inventory for moving around items. - Workers have their own dedicated armor slots and will use the capabilities of them (jetpacks, jump boots, etc). - Workers have their own dedicatedToolslots and can use things like hammers for crafting sheets, axe's for stripping logs (in world, they can place and destroy the blocks), QIO/Wireless AE2 terminals for crafting/storage access, etc. - Workers are immune to all forms of damage and knockback except player damage, so they wont accidentally die unless punched by a player.
Known Issues:
- Performance issues when the SCM is autopiloting on a schedule.
- The
Schedulegraph isn't functional yet, shipping schedules are still needed to create a schedule. - Worker automation has some bugs.
- Smart Tablet is still incomplete and disabled by default.
- ACC Displays are still very early work in progress and have many issues - Disabled by default.
Scissor Pistonarm renderer glitches when breaking an arm link while the piston is extending.
Notes:
- New app icons for
Digisable,Blockmates, andManifestare placeholders. - Textures for the
Smart Vault/Tank/Batteryare placeholders.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
