Create: Quarry
A Create addon that adds an automated, rotational-power-driven Quarry: link two Quarry Stakes to define a rectangular mining area, then let the Quarry excavate it layer by layer, filtering ores, replacing mined terrain, and optionally draining fluids.

Compatibility
Changes
Added
- Added an Ores/Excavate mode selector on the Quarry's right side. Ores remains the default mode.
- Excavate removes eligible blocks from top to bottom and replaces them with air by default.
- Containers and machines are protected by default. Unbreakable blocks, Quarry blocks, stakes and blacklisted blocks remain protected.
- Added configurable excavation replacement blocks and stress multiplier. Excavate uses twice the stress by default.
- Added mode information to Ponder and goggle tooltips, plus project and bug report links.
Changed
- The Quarry is now crafted with a 5x5 Mechanical Crafting recipe.
- Quarry Stakes now use a crafting table recipe with an Ender Pearl and a Brass Sheet, producing two stakes.
- Reworked RPM-based digging speed for smooth scaling, including slower operation at low RPM.
- Retuned default speed and scan settings.
- Changing modes restarts the scan and immediately updates stress usage.
Fixed
- Fixed potential item loss when multiple loot stacks competed for the same output space. Capacity is now checked cumulatively, and unexpected insertion leftovers are dropped above the Quarry.
- Collecting fluid from waterlogged blocks no longer deletes the host block and now respects protected blocks.
- Scan progress now resumes correctly after reloading a world.
- Excavation no longer repeatedly mines its configured replacement block, preventing infinite drops.
- Invalid block IDs in configuration are rejected safely.
- Corrected ore tag documentation: Ores mode always applies the configured ore tags, and filters further restrict eligible blocks.
Notes
- Filters match the original block, rather than its drops. To mine Stone, filter Stone even when it drops Cobblestone.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
