Changes
1.2.7 - 2026-08-23
Changes
- Added Jade tooltip information showing installed Capacity and Void upgrades.
- Void mode is now indicated by a purple status light and display text instead of rendering the Void Upgrade item on the block.
- Added an alternate recipe for upgrading an existing Passer Block into a Smart Passer Block. (#72)
- Create Smart Observers now detect items transferred through a Passer Block or Smart Passer Block.
- Moved Vanilla Backport compat to a datapack to prevent log errors when mod not present.
- The Jetpack Upgrade now costs fewer resources to craft.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a crash (
AbstractMethodError) when using a Construction Wand from Construction Wand - KOTS mod. (#80) - Fixed Construction Wand placing blocks for free from a Storage Box that could not be read.
- Fixed Storage Boxes losing their custom name when broken and picked back up.
- Fixed an issue where the Carry On mod did not blacklist Create: Storage blocks from being picked up.
- Fixed a log warning being emitted when clicking the Sort Order button in the backpack GUI.
- Fixed issue picking up a music disc from the Jukebox upgrade slot, both moving the disc to the inventory and leaving a ghost copy on the cursor.
- Fixed backpack menus resending their full contents to the client on every click.
- Fixed loot table parsing errors and recipe skip messages being logged when loading a world without the optional Vanilla Backport mod installed. The Pale Oak loot tables and recipes now ship in a built-in datapack that is only enabled when Vanilla Backport is present.
Backported Fixes
- Fixed Jukebox Upgrade not returning music discs when upgrade swapped out. Items are now returned to the inventory (or dropped if inventory is full).
- Fixed issue when removing one backpack upgrade, incorrectly triggers the removal effects of other upgrades.
- Fixed held items being dropped when clicking backpack upgrade tabs or buttons.
- Fixed the Feeder and Magnet upgrade filter slots sometimes requiring multiple clicks to set a filter.
- Fixed right-click dragging over the Feeder and Magnet upgrade filter slots setting a filter instead of clearing it.
- Long custom names are now truncated to prevent overlapping other GUI elements or extending beyond the menu.
- Fixed mounted Simple Storage Boxes not inserting all matching items from the inventory when the front display was double-clicked.
- Fixed the Torch Deployer upgrade reading the incorrect light value, causing it to almost never place torches.
- Fixed an item-duplication/corruption bug when inserting into a Simple Storage Box via the Create Packager.
- Fixed a crash that happens when the optional Curios mod was not installed. (#59)
- Fixed the Jukebox upgrade continuing to play music after swapping out the disc.
- Fixed Jukebox Upgrade note particles so they now appear more randomly.
- Fixed backpack data from other mods being lost when placing the backpack as a block. (#57)
- Fixed Storage Boxes and Backpacks not showing custom name in menus when placed on a Create contraption.
- Storage Boxes and Simple Storage Boxes can now only be accessed from the front display when mounted on a contraption.
- Adjusted item and text rendering on Storage Boxes and Simple Storage Boxes when shaders are installed.
- Fixed custom names rendering incorrectly when Storage Boxes and Simple Storage Boxes mounted on contraptions.
- Fixed music continuing to play after the Jukebox upgrade was quick-moved (shift-clicked) out of the backpack.
- Fixed removing any backpack upgrade notifying every other installed upgrade that it had been removed.
- Fixed backpacks losing item NBT added by other mods, such as enchantments or Apotheosis affixes, when placed in the world and picked back up. (#57)
- Fixed held items being dropped when clicking backpack upgrade tabs or buttons.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
