Curses Revamped 1.2.2 Changelog
Added
- Added Curse of Uncontrolled Aim to Additional.
- While active, the player's mouse movement can be randomly redirected.
- It can apply to common cursed items and is discovered like the other custom curses.
- Added Curse of Wayward Projectiles to Additional.
- Ranged projectiles can be thrown off in unpredictable directions.
- It supports four levels, with higher levels causing stronger deviation. Ideas By InkBot
Restructured
- Additional now uses Base as the single owner of shared curse discovery and sync data.
- Removed unused duplicate discovery storage and packet classes from both Additional loaders.
- Kept all existing
cursesrevamped_additional:*enchantment IDs unchanged.
Fixed
- Fixed Wayward Projectiles levels II-IV being ignored; higher levels now increase projectile deviation.
- Registered the Additional command tree on Fabric and NeoForge.
- Added
/cursesrevamped debug itemto the Additional command registration as well as Base. - Fixed Uncontrolled Aim and Wayward Projectiles tooltips being skipped when they were the only curses on an item.
- Added scalable internal item categories for armor, wearable items, weapons, tools, ranged weapons, held items, and common cursed items.
- Existing aliases such as
held_cursed,pulling, andreachnow build on these categories. - Added a dedicated
head_armorcategory for Head-only curses such as Blindness.
- Existing aliases such as
- Reworked Uncontrolled Aim into a client-side persistent camera effect instead of replacing every mouse movement with a huge random value.
- Normal movement: stronger smooth drifting that can remain offset from center.
- Bow/crossbow aiming: persistent downward-biased movement with stronger lateral interference.
- Elytra flight: very strong steering disruption with large directional movement.
- The effect is now roughly twice as strong while keeping longer cooldowns between events.
Project Structure
- Base contains the shared vanilla curse foundation and can be used on its own.
- Additional contains the custom curse content and requires Base 1.2.2 or newer.
- Shared support code is kept separately so both loaders can use the same addon contracts.
- Versioned release folders contain the matching Base and Additional jars for Fabric and NeoForge.
- Existing custom enchantment IDs remain unchanged.
Compatibility
- Additional requires Curses Revamped Base 1.2.2 or newer.
- Base and Additional remain separate jars for Fabric and NeoForge.
- Minecraft version remains 1.21.1.
Notes
- Suggestions are welcome for new curses, enchanting ideas, fake enchantments, cursed books, and other additions that fit the mod's direction.
- Ideas may be added directly or refined after testing so they work properly in survival gameplay.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
